This hotel offers relaxing outdoor hot tubs, an 18-hole golf course and activities such as whale watching and snowmobile safaris. Reykjavik and Snæfellsnes National Park are a 1-hour drive away. Icelandair Hotel Hamar’s rooms feature minimalist modern design, heated floors and a private sun terrace. All have private bathrooms with showers. The hotel restaurant serves traditional Icelandic food and international dishes made from fresh, locally produced ingredients. Guests can also enjoy views of the Borgarfjördur Fjord or have a drink on the terrace. Excellent helpful staff. Well equipped spacious rooms. Excellent location with great views. Breakfast and dinner are fine, but the dinner menu is a little restricted. No major faults but the hotel would benefit from a lounge or other room set aside for guests to relax. There is a break out area in the bar restaurant but it is quite small.

View of the mountains across the river and golf-course, while enjoying the hot tub was spectacular. We were in the closest room to the bar/reception, but there were no noise problems

Breakfast cost too much for what you get. Nothing warm in the selection and as the room was already very expensive I would have expected complimentary breakfast. Low value for money! Staff not very attentive and did not make you feel very at home.

Fra hotell sengen (rommet) hadde vi en fantastisk utsikt. Badestampene kunne vi fritt bruke når vi ville.Hyggligt personale og god mat.

De locatie van dit hotel is zeker de moeite waard. Het hotel ligt vlakbij Borgarnes waar diverse eetgelegenheden zijn. Onze kamer had mooi uitzicht op de bergen en diverse uitstapjes zijn vanuit dit hotel goed te doen (rondrit schiereiland Snaefellsnes of waterval Hraunfossar bijvoorbeeld). De prijs/kwaliteitverhouding vonden wij niet goed, de kamers zijn vrij eenvoudig terwijl je voor die prijs iets meer verwacht. Het personeel hebben wij als erg stug ervaren en spreekt slecht Engels, de locatie maakt echter veel goed!

Das Hotel liegt günstig an der Ringstraße 1, die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und man kann auch draußen sitzen bei gutem Wetter. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den Golfplatz und die Berge.
