Score from 28 reviews Very good
Perfect location for visiting the national park. Friendly staff. Breakfast & room was ok. Nothing more, nothing less.
Excellent room and meals.
Fantastic views of mountains from the dining room windows, although just a small niggle was that they hadn't made more of the views when designing / positioning the hotel.
The location is great for the access to Snaefellsjokull, where we climb up to ca. 1000 meters.
Rather high price even considering the high season. Almost no place to eat out nearby except the hotel restaurant.
No sitting places when bar and restaurant is closed
good location near to the Snaefellsjokull National Park. bright room. nice bathroom. Good restaurant and breakfast.
Air like you could only experience on an ocean liner at sea. Views of a worldfamous glacier from the dining room. Friendly and capable staff. Delicious food. Heaven. Try the lamb!
Tour buses make noise in the morning, but I have departed for North Iceland many years ago from this spot and my sympathy is with the travelers and I didn't mind.
We like it all :)
Location and facilities.
Nothing comes to mind.
Everything was very nice, the staff friendly and helpful.
Comfortable hotel room. Everything is clean.
Shower is not the best one.
Value for money is always fair in all iceland...accomodations are too expencive.
A good breakfast Really fast wifi (compared to other Icelandic hotels/guesthouses) A clean room
Curtains are not suited for Icelandic summer (to thin) Staff wasn't capable of answering our questions regarding daytrips/activities
Veiw of the glacier
Hard Floors, no rugs
Good breakfast, clean rooms, wi-fi. Our stay was good.
Cheap interior room, linoleum floor was bubbled.
The breakfast, included in the room price, was very good and well maintained. Fresh bread!
This place is grossly overpriced, even by Icelandic standards and with breakfast included. When you pay this much for lodging, you notice loose door handles, water on the bathroom floor after a shower because the drain is at the highest point on the floor, room keys that are half ripped in two, and so on. This hotel is ageing fast.
Beds,cink was poor
The place is beautifull the people are nice and the service was good
hotel hellisandur did not have coffemacine in the room, and no informasion about anithing in the room,no penn and no paper to write.
Beautiful location. Helpful. Clean
Lovely staff, very nice design, excellent food, great value, good location for exploring Snæfellsnes region. I had an amazing view of the glacier from my window.
Nice hotel with a restaurant. Staff were helpful. Warm and cozy room with nice bathroom. Clean and tidy.
Great location; feels like on the end of the world
The room was nice, quiet, and the dinner was outstanding ... Actually, this was our best stay in Iceland, correct price, not so expensive as it is not around the ring road I guess ...
The was nothing we did not like.
