good location near to the Snaefellsjokull National Park. bright room. nice bathroom. Good restaurant and breakfast.
We like it all :)
Everything was very nice, the staff friendly and helpful.
Comfortable hotel room. Everything is clean.
Shower is not the best one.
Value for money is always fair in all iceland...accomodations are too expencive.
A good breakfast Really fast wifi (compared to other Icelandic hotels/guesthouses) A clean room
Curtains are not suited for Icelandic summer (to thin) Staff wasn't capable of answering our questions regarding daytrips/activities
Veiw of the glacier
Hard Floors, no rugs
Good breakfast, clean rooms, wi-fi. Our stay was good.
Cheap interior room, linoleum floor was bubbled.
The breakfast, included in the room price, was very good and well maintained. Fresh bread!
This place is grossly overpriced, even by Icelandic standards and with breakfast included. When you pay this much for lodging, you notice loose door handles, water on the bathroom floor after a shower because the drain is at the highest point on the floor, room keys that are half ripped in two, and so on. This hotel is ageing fast.
Beds,cink was poor
The place is beautifull the people are nice and the service was good
hotel hellisandur did not have coffemacine in the room, and no informasion about anithing in the room,no penn and no paper to write.
Beautiful location. Helpful. Clean
Lovely staff, very nice design, excellent food, great value, good location for exploring Snæfellsnes region. I had an amazing view of the glacier from my window.
Nice hotel with a restaurant. Staff were helpful. Warm and cozy room with nice bathroom. Clean and tidy.
Great location; feels like on the end of the world
The room was nice, quiet, and the dinner was outstanding ... Actually, this was our best stay in Iceland, correct price, not so expensive as it is not around the ring road I guess ...
The was nothing we did not like.
A very pleasant experience overall. Good breakfast.
The Wi-Fi signal was rather weak
Very clean rooms, nice people, good breakfast. Very nice landscape.
Pizza could be better
Dirty restaurant chairs, Floor and Doors. Staf not properly dressed and not professionals trained, although they tried to be nice.
Nice Rooms, with wooden furniture. New Bathroom
no cold water There were no Bread at the Breakfast. Only a kind of bread, like a cake (German "Christstollen"). And there were plenty of sausages, salmon, eggs and cheese wich we couldn't eat with this sweet "bread". So we asked for bread, the stuff told us "We oly have this bread". Two minutes later one of the waitresses came with baguette for an other table in the Dinning-room. So I asked ones more. And they started debate with me, that this woman only get this bread because of a kind of illnes or something. After a short time she gave in and baked us some deep-frozen-food-baguette. The other woman was german too and she told me that she hasn't any dease or illness, she only had the same discussion with the waitress earlier. When we checked out they wanted a higher price then they offered on booking.com it was maybe 5 -10€ more. Then the waitresses both started a dicussion about Money exchange rate like "This is not easy to understand, but... we have to.. when we change the Money it is less worth..:" it sounded like they wanted to tell me that I'm stupid and can't understand it, but it is like this so they have to take more money from me. In no single appartment or Guest or Hotel they did charge more than in they offered on booking.com. The exchange rate in the otther hotels was always between 153 and 156 isk/1 €. This Hotel wanted to charge us 162 isk/1€. At the end I gave in and we met in the middle betwen the offerd price and their highered price and I only agreed because I was so angry und don't wanted to discuss further. The Owner of this hotel should be ashamed. This is why the staff gets ab bad mark. The Comfort was't given due to the discussions, so its bad evaluated. And the Service was more like in a hostel due to the bad discussions
Nice double room. Located near the national park for hiking. Good breakfast.
For a 3 stars hotel, have worst wireless connection than (amateur) farm guesthouses. Also, the possibility to make some tea\coffee in the room is a recommendation to be considered (yes, there is one opened bar\restaurant, but...).
clean great food, a nice respite in a remote location
