Quiet, comfortable farmhouse just off the ringroad. Very handy if you want to be close to Reykjavik but prefer accommodation that's a little more peaceful and homely. There was even a dog! Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable; in our cottage there were two bathrooms for about 4 bedrooms, and there's a kitchen with a huge fridge. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Nothing! Perfect for our purposes.

Friendly reception, clean& tidy, nice old farm with horses few metres away, cosy room, very quiet because located a little bit away.

Could be renovated one day- everything is a little bit old. We could also hear the people in the neighbourroom well, many small rooms on little space. Difficult to reach without a car, no shopping facilities nearby.

The women helped us finding a location for the next night. Very quiet surrounding with good hiking opportunities in the neighbourhood, the thermal places

Good budget place in a rural setting not far from the ringroad.

A slightly confusing pricing- and check out policy.

Helga was very friendly and responsive to requests and tips on local spots; lots of information and brochures at the front desk. Comfortable beds, warmth and an ample buffet for breakfast and supplies for making sandwiches for lunch.

    Vegetarian food items very limited.

We were given a delicious breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and had its own small wash basin.

There was some confusion over whether breakfast and bedding was included in the online price or whether it cost extra. However, we ended up getting the bedding free and paying for breakfast and were very happy with this as the breakfast was delicious and well worth the price.

A real taste of Icelandic hospitality a must for all travellers on a route 1 road trip or as a base for the steamiest town in the world!

The location was a nice quiet farm-stay, 5 minute drive from restaurants. The price was reasonable. It cost extra for breakfast, but it was generous and with a good variety of food. Wi-fi is included, but you have to go into the main house. The 3-bed room was comfortable but not very spacious - just enough room. The room was nice and quiet. The toilets/showers were in the same room, but there were 2 bathrooms for the 6 rooms. There was plenty of parking. The lady was very lovely and helpful. I highly recommend this place for an inexpensive stay.

There's a main building with internet connection but rooms are in independent houses where you can use the kitchen and bathrooms, which is very useful.

We forgot to bring electrical adaptors for our us phones. The host was very helpful. The adaptor he loaned us was a life saver. Our unfamiliarity with Icelandic was not a serious impediment. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay.

A kitchen, living room with free wifi, rooms were clean and in quiet environment, although the walls in the house are thin.

Wifi connection in rooms was poor. Only one kitchen in the house.

Nice, quiet country atmosphere with lots of trees. Very good breakfasts. There are nice areas to sit and relax both indoors and out. A nice older sheepdog and two friendly cats add to the country feeling. Town is a 10 min. drive, and horsetback riding is just down the road. Overall, a very pleasant peaceful place.

The kitchen in the hostel is inadequate for the number of rooms and is not well-equipped.

Close to Solhestar Horsefarm. The staff very friendly. Location peaceful.

Another customer family hogged the small kichen for the entire evening and morning. Linen fee not clearly enogh stated in the ads.
