Höfn Inn Guesthouse

Large room with a kettle!!! Not something we found often on our trip. Actually the room was huge, very clean and very nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed and the biggest hotel bathroom I have ever seen, fully equiped for disabled guests. Breakfast was standard Icelandic and good in a large room across the road from the hotel building. Location wasn't great but wasn't bad either in a residential area with a petrol station nearby. Staff very helpful and directed us to a really good seafood resturant for dinner. Check in was a little problematic, had to ring (phone provided) a young lady who came to hotel to let us in. Apparently she was running several locations single handedly so could hardly be blamed and she was very nice and helpful once there so it didn't really matter. (would rather a warm welcome after a few minutes than a frosty instant one!)

Everything else. No desk clerk. WiFi didn't work most of the time, or was very slow. We were put in a "Handicapped" room (don't know why) and it was inconvenient for able bodied people, plus the floor was very uncomfortable and cold. Chairs were so uncomfortable we couldn't sit in them, except for the desk chair. Room was stark.

Nice spacious rooms with good beds. Coffeemaking facilities. Breakfast was good, but a short walk from the hotel.

Price is too high for such a hotel without facilities. It's situated next to a petrol station.Breakfast is in a separate building.

No net curtains on a main road window, so needed to have curtains pulled.

It was ok as a place to sleep.

Staff was minimally available. Payment was required at check-in, so no one was at the desk the next morning. If you happened to have left anything in your room after leaving your key at the unattended desk, you would have to had to try to find someone to let you back into the reception area. The room floors were of a rough-tectured pebble material that was hard on bare feet. Decor was stark modern. Location behind the a1 gas station was far removed from any town services.

The wifi connection was good, the room was clean and spacious and there was free parking in front of the guesthouse.

The floor is strangely made of small rolling stones, which made my feet painful when walking barefoot. The breakfast was served 10min walk away and had little and no appealing choice. The available fruit was oxidated and clearly exposed for too long (I had my breakfast around 8h30). Overall, I think that the room was too expensive (I paid 120€).

Cuando llegas hay que tocar un timbre para que acuda el recepcionista desde otro lugar. El local es poco acogedor, sirve para pasar simplemente una noche, no tiene secador y el desayuno es en otro local en el pueblo. Para lo que es nos pareció caro.

nos gusto muccho el desayuno,era completo habia de todo el zumo estaba muy bueno, lo unico es que no era en el mismo edificio, tenias que cruzar la calle, pero sin problemas, cuando llegamos no habia nadie en recepcion y llamas a un timbre y el chico viene en 2 minutos.

Facile à trouver. silencieux. belle chambre (lits un peu petits). décoration minimaliste mais fonctionnelle. l'hotel est tout en ligne mais la ville de hofn est petite aussi.

le petit déjeuner est minime (et dans un autre établissement, à 100m) le wifi était faiblard.

En arrivant personne à la réception. On reste devant la porte fermée et on téléphone 10 minutes après le patron arrive, nous donne notre clé, encaisse le montant (il a le plus fort taux de change de tout notre séjour de 120 euros, nous avons payé 136 euros en Kouronnes Islandaises. Le confort de la chambre n'est même pas digne d'un hôtel 2* en France. Le petit déjeuner très moyen est servi dans un autre bâtiment à une centaine de mètres. A comparer, un motel américain est en catégorie super-luxe à côté. Nous n'avons jamais revu le patron de l'hôtel. Evitez cet hôtel. Ce fut pour nous le prire de notre périplez de 15 jours en Islande.

Bien situé, calme

La habitación es muy cómoda y está muy limpia. El desayuno está bastante bien. La localización es buena, el pueblo es agradable para salir a cenar unas cigalitas.

El desayuno se sirve en otro edificio, pero no se tarda nada caminando.

Belle camere spaziose e confortevoli. Posizione mediocre accanto ad una pompa di benzina. La reception non apre prima delle 14, quindi non è possibile fare check-in se si arriva in anticipo.
