The hotel is located in good central position. We ate once in the restaurant and this was really excellent. Many of the reviews said that the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly but that wasn't our experience. The restaurant was closed to residents the day we arrived but no alternative arrangements had been made for dinner. The breakfast was very average with the 'hot' breakfast always cold. We had a junior suite which was fine except for the bathroom which was very small and only had a shower but no bath. |

This Hotel can be absolutely recommended. The rooms are big, bath is ok. The Dinner was great. The center of Reykjavik can be reached within one or two minutes by foot. You won't regret to choose this hotel. |

The location relative to the town centre. professionalism of staff. General atmosphere. Rooms above the entrance were rather noisy at times with traffic etc |

Great location, warm, older, traditional design, great staff. Needs to reinvest some money back in the hotel for a makeover. TV's in rooms were 1970 models with fuzzy reception, computer's downstairs were slow and weren't able to print. |

The staff is fantastic, even before my stay at the hotel we exchange e-mails and they always was prompt to help. I also liked the location of the hotel, very close to all attraction but not in the middle of it, and Reykjavik can get pretty loud at their runtur on weekends. I thought the TV was quite not up to date. The rooms are nice but I would classify as a 4 star hotel... maybe 3 1/2 star. |

The beds, although twin, were the most comfortable beds ever. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Didn't eat at the restaurant, but the smells were wonderful. A popular place on the weekends so must be well known throughout the city. Rooms are small in comparison to what you get in the U.S., but I understand typical for Iceland. |

Meget bra hotell, svært imøtekommende personale Internett som de averterer med at er gratis, er der men virker ikke på en slik måte at det går an å jobbe på noe online. Svart dårlig linje. |

Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Restaurant bietet ein sehr schönes Ambiente und die Speisen runden dies vollkommen ab. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Bildersammlung. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und gepflegt. |

Besonders gefallen haben uns die sehr freundlichen und kundenorientierten Mitarbeiter des Hotels, die uns alle Buchungen der Tagesausflügen und des Mietwagens abgenommen haben. Das Hotel ist innen sehr gepflegt und sauber. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist vielseitig und gut. Die Fenster waren von außen stark verschmutzt, was im krassen Gegensatz zum übrigen Zustand des Hotels stand. Von außen macht das Hotel keinen sehr einladenden Eindruck. Bei der Ankunft dachten wir zunächst, es sei geschlossen. |

Alt. Har været der 8-10 gange under besøg I Island. Specielt personalet skal fremhæves. De er superprofessionelle, hamrende dygtige til deres fag allesammen, menneskelige, varme og alligevel med en respekt for kunden. Jeg har været mange steder I Verden, og Holt slår dem alle. |
