I liked the breakfast and the view from the window.
Long walk to the city centre (30 min one way)
Room size and facility Great view: the hotel first allotted us a room with an inner view, but changed it later to a super view Great staff: As the wifi was not working through the four nights we stayed at the hotel, they charged us only for three nights. great gesture
Location: the hotel is minimum half hour walk from any action in the city. If going there as a tourist, the hotel needs to offer a drop off facility else its not feasible to stay here Wifi was down throughout our stay of 3.5 days
Very good help from the staff.
Easy to get into town centre. Lots of parking. Friendly staff.
Noise from building site next door. Room was very hot. Facility for tea and coffee, but nothing provided, including kettle.
Great Staff! Good value for Reykjavik.
Location is not city centre; no option to walk; no nearby restaurants, sites, etc . A car is a must.
The rooms were nice, and clean. The staff were helpful and nice
While the location was convenient to 2 bus stops, it felt a bit out of the way and wasn't very close to restaurants or shopping
Good rooms, quiet. Very good breakfast.
Good hotel with good breakfast and value for money.
Bedroom too hot
Very helpful staff, nice breakfast, room was cleaned every day, availability to buy some drinks in the reception, good location not far from city center and shopping center.
we liked everything:)
Big room, breakfast
Handicap room with twin beds. Weak wifi, thin walls.
Probably the best value for money we had in this 2 weeks trip around Iceland
A little far from the center
The Room was very big and comfortable with the possibly the best view from the hotel almost panoramic on the top floor.
Although the hotel itself was really good we did find it too far away from the main shopping area of Reykjavic itself, it was a good 2 mile walk into town. The txi is expensive for the distance. No room service for food which was annoying as the nearest places to eat were a long walk away.
It was very quiet and they solve a problem we had satisfactorily. Breakfast was good.
Rooms too hot. Maybe a bit too far from centre of Reykjavik.
fantastic breakfast, good business hotel, last day we managed to see aurora from hotel balcony, that was fascinating. Lovely view, overlooking the mountain
room was very large (7th floor), breakfast was good and free wifi important
Safe not working and hotel needs a refurbishment, bedroom shabby, windows leaked and hotel a good 35 minute walk from centre
The manager and front desk staff were very accommodating and courteous. Their breakfast was good with a variety of selections. Parking is not a problem except for school days.
No working tv in the room. No wi-fi in the room.
Staff - very helpfull and polite Cortesy breakfast at 3 A.M. at the departure day. The city view - fantastic ! room space - enourmous!
You can walk to the city centre ( but not in winter and snowing...) there is a bus nearby otherwise you have to take a taki ( about 20€ / run).
Service and the staff attitude
I liked everything
Large twin bed rooms En-suite coffee/tea facilities Large breakfast selection for Icelandic norms Free internet everywhere
Bathroom could use renovation Could not pay with Diners Club card though the hotel stated acceptance Location requires public bus connection to downtown
All reception staff were very helpful and informative. All chambermaids were very cheerful. The view from the hotel was breath taking. Was very happy with all aspects of my stay.
No tea and coffee facilities in the room. When asked at reception a kettle was placed in the room. No real complaints of problems.
Quite good place in a quiet location (Armula is street with office buildings and shops for professionals, opening late) however far away from 101 and city centre in general.
The whole building asks for some renovation. 2nd floor is occupied by some rest-home (!) hence some weird people are hanging around the building.
Fantastic staff, very helpful and attentive. Excellent value for money.
Would have appreciated the availability of food in the evening, especially after long days, or those with quick turnarounds.
Room was massive, warm, fab view. Plenty of breakfast.
bathroom was scruffy, room had not been used for some time - water came out of tap green, initially. Daughter discovered dirty marks on bed sheet which she had not made - only noticed after she'd sleep on sofa bed.
