We stayed 5 nights at this hotel. It is very quiet. Get a room facing the front for the view. Every member of the staff is very helpful. Dinners at the restaurant connected to the hotel were surprisingly good. (Fish) The hotel is situated in a very quiet location. A 10 to 15 minute walk is required to get to the downtown area but that's no problem, unless one has difficulty walking. The hotel has an elevator. Blinds and drapes block the summer light well.

The staff were helpful and very accommodating for an early arrival. The hotel was clean and quiet and relatively comfortable. It is a functional choice for a short stay in Reykjavik. No one would mistake it for a destination hotel.

The triple room was perfect for myself and my two grown children. It was a very clean and quiet room. Great breakfast The hotel was a bit more removed from the "nice" part of downtown, and this was not clear from the description when we booked.

The single room I stayed in was rather spacious. It had all necessary amenities. It's probably been a while since the last refurbishment, but the room was nice and clean and warm. Breakfast selection was limited and simple, yet everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel as a whole is nothing special, but a decent place for someone who mostly needs a place where to sleep. The view to the back yard car park, but I didn't go there to admire the view.

Very friendly and hospitable staff and service. A quite nice breakfast each morning in the adjoining restaurant. Next to a grocery store, which is nice once you realize how expensive Iceland is (at least for those from the United States). Not the perfect location, but only a short stroll into downtown Reykjavik.

Location close to the Borgartun and Laugavegur Night receptionist had a gloomy outlook on life, and did his best to transfer it to his guests.

Staff were great - very friendly and helpful. Single room was quite big and facilities were very good. Enjoyed breakfasts. Only that the outside of the hotel isn't very exciting - but its the inside that counts!

Reception staff were extremely helpful. Comfy beds. Good breakfast. Recommend going for evening meal, food is very good and you get a 10% discount. View from room. Building opposite had lights on all night which made our room bright when sleeping.

Its basically an Ibis on the edge of town. It's clean, warm & bout 10min walk to the town. The breakfast is continental, not much choice but adequate. Being able to park outside for free is a bonus.
