The hotel is located in the centre of Akureyri, but the town is so small that almost everything is in the centre anyway. It is a very clean hotel as most hotels and places in Iceland. Breakfast was OK, typical continental. It is not an impressive place but also not disappointing. Just very standard. There was no bath in the room and we traveled with 2 years old daughter and she hates shower. I didnt go to the Akureyri to watch TV but it would be nice to have more than 3 channels, at least one channel with news in English. The room was small, the bed quite big.

Hotel Kea is billed as a Luxury Hotel. If you believe this you will be disappointed. However, it is in a great location and has a wonderful breakfast. The website made it seem that Hotel Kea was almost full. When we were there, maybe 15 of the 60 rooms were in use. There are plenty of other places to stay in Akureyri with a much lower price tag and Lake Myvtan is 1 1/2 hours drive away.

Staðsetning hótels Staðsetning herbergis, út að tröppum að kirkju. Mikið ónægði um helgi af fólki sem var að skemmta sér í bænum. Teppi á göngum annsi óþrifaleg.

Það var frekar kalt í herberginu þegar við komum, viðhækkuðum á ofninum og það varð of heitt þannig að þægindin að því leiti voru ekki góð

tolle lage klasse fruehstueck obwohl ein toller restaurntsaal vorhanden ist wurde man zum fruehstueck in einen raum gesetzt der so gar nicht zum rest des hotels passt.

забронировали простой "дабл", менеджер бонусом сделал апгрейд до "люкса".завтрак лучший по сравнению со всеми отелями где останавливались в исландии.расположение самый центр городка,напротив ресторан с местной едой,мне показалось один из немногих, где подают действительно местную кухню (мясо кита на гриле,баранину,запеченую рыбу)
