This hotel is in an excellent situation for Keflavik airport, which is 5 minutes drive away. It is also right on the coast, giving nice views over the harbour, and town, especially from the balcony of the suite on the top floor of the hotel. We thought that the room was lovely, clean, warm and spacious, with a sat.TV In both the bedroom and the sitting room. Also there was a sofa bed, fridge, safe and a generous sized bathroom. The price was very good, being just a little more than the standard double room, and I would reccommend it, if you`re not on a budget. Breakfast was a nice continental buffet, with plenty of choice, and available from 5am. I would say that the bathroom was a triumph of style over practicality. Its designer looks were very nice, but didnt really function well. E.G. The open layout of the shower means that the entire bathroom floor gets soaked, so that the floor towel becomes useless, and you have to paddle around in it. However, this is a minor point, as the bathroom was clean, warm, and a good size.

The room a little bigger than average for icelandic hotels. The best part was the breakfast- very good, with egg sandwiches and delicious pastries. Very complete. It looks like the chef puts a lot into what he serves. There were even sandwiches for people who had to leave early and quickly for the airport. They started serving at 5 am. Of course, one of the main reasons for staying here is it's proximity to Keflavik. It was probably 10 min. Away. The room was attractive. The restaurant had good food. The bed was a bit small

Its an airport hotel which provides a taxi service to the airport and a good breakfast from 5 am. Keflavik is OK on the way out - no point on the way in to Iceland.

A wonderful place to end our vacation in Iceland. This was the most comfortable hotel we stayed in during our trip and the least expensive.

The hotel Keflavik is a very relaxing place to stay at the start or finish of your trip to Iceland because of it's ideal location near to the airport. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the hotel facilities were excellent. The rooms are clean and well furnished.

We used the hotel because of its proximity to Keflavik airport since we had an early morning flight to the uk after a two week stay in Iceland. The hotel was well organised for this sort of use with one exception (see below). Room good, breakfast good and available from 0500 hrs.. 83 Euros for double room plus breakfast. Courtesy transfer available to the airport which was on time and efficiently organised. Keflavik town itself is like Skegness in November. We spent Sunday night in the hotel and were surprised to be informed that no food was available on Sundays (this must be the only 4 star hotel on the planet where this is the case). Restaurants in the town are few and expensive - for example circa £30 for steak and chips. Fortunately, the town's other hotel (Icelandair Flughotel) is only 50 meters away and its restaurant was open. We ate there (nouvelle - ish but good) for about £65 for two including wine.

Five minutes from Keflavik airport, the main international airport of Iceland. Overpriced for location in a town that so its best days in the 1960s when there was an American base nearby. Very few restaurants. The hotel suggested Dominos Pizza for dinner after 10PM. They were correct, nothing else open. Hotel breakfast opens at 5:00 AM, a good indication that guests are mostly airline personal on layovers.Other than that or arriving or leaving Iceland, there is no reason to stay here. Reykjavik is only about 30 minutes away.

Good location handy for the airport (with live departure screen in the lobby). Outside appearance a little sad but interior lovely. As everywhere in Iceland, happy friendly staff. Great food in the restaurant - if you have fish soup as a starter, don't order a main, unless you're very very hungry! For a 4* hotel, some cheap moves in the room - tiny nasty plastic cups to make coffee or tea in (then only enough coffee for 1 cup each). Soap in wall dispensers in the bathroom (a pet hate of mine)

Definitely value for money with high quality of staff services, breakfast quality is the best of us in Iceland. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly during my stay from 21 - 23 May. Their support and help during our delayed stay in Iceland due to the voclanic eruption were particularly impressive and please convey our appreciation to them.

Located in town and a convienient 5 km from Keflavik Airport, the hotel pays one way for airport transfers by taxi Taxi from the airport is ISK 2000 ie 9 Euros for 5.5 kilometres (ISK 3000 or 14 Euros on a Sunday) which seemed a lot of money for such a short trip.

Range of food available at breakfast good. Easy transfer to airport. Restaurant closed & we were not notified of this prior to arrival. We specifically chose a hotel with a restaurant & bar so that we could have dinner without having to go out. No apology from the reception staff about this. Fortunately the Icelandair hotel nearby were very welcoming and we had a delicious dinner there.

good location. quite near from airport. hotel has paid one way airport transfer fee. although i'm satisfied with staying this hotel, this is not a three star. i booked a deluxe seaview room to see northern light, but it was difficult because hotel's neon sign was too bright.

The rooms were very elegantly appointed and reasonably priced for a suite. They were kind enough to not charge us when I inadvertently booked the wrong day and had to reschedule to the correct day. Convenient to the airport. Highly recommended.

Great breakfast included in the room rate. Very close to the airport, friendly staff. Free taxi either to or from the airport. Great value for money. Our flight only arrived at 23:30 so we slept over at Hotel Keflavik on our first night. Can absolutely recommend as a stop over.
