Walking distance to downtown reykjavik via main street
Very Small double bed, room too far away from reception got wifi signal
Good breakfast set us up for the day Staff helpful , I had to stay on for a few extra days they managed to find me a room.
Good value for money and breakfast included a real bonus. Great location for local amenities, 10 min walk from central Reykjavic. Rooms a little tired however clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again
Location Tour bus collections direct at hotel
Size of room - pretty small for a double
The hotel is very convenient for pick up for the tours. Breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it. The bed was incredibly comfy. Free toiletries. Would go back.
On the night I arrived I was told there had been a problem with my booking so I would have to stay at their 'sister' hotel for the first night - the Foss Lind. It was ok but the standard of the room definitely wasn't as good. I was still charged the same price though. I think it may be a hotel policy to overbook the better hotel and then divert people to the inferior one, as I saw this happen to others during my stay.
The location was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and very good. WiFi connection was great.
Not much for soundproofing so noisy at times. Would be nice to have a luggage rack.
Friendly Staff Amazing central location Good / simple food - breakfast Clean
Not many room service options
The location, free wifi.
Had to complain several times before cigarette butts just outside the door onto the balcony were reluctantly removed. It was a non smoking room!
Location was ok, about 20min walk to the city center. Free parking although it was annoying that we had to go to the reception to tell them that we were in front of the gate to get in/out.
Room 411. Looks like a storage room build into a hotelroom. Completely outdated. Furniture almost fell apart. Beds are no more than 70cm wide with just a topping on an old worn out boxspringlike bed. Bedsheets were not clean. (Bath)room was just not clean. Overall very malcontent. Staff could be more friendly and helpful. Breakfast room is as noted before me way to small. Staff tries its best to clean up and refill/restock... But with just 2 ladies... Not enough. The breakfast itself was ok but nothing extraordinary.
Nice modern room very good location
Wifi was not working as our room was furthest away from reception this seemed to affect quality. Outside noise loud in mornings.
Excellent location. Great breakfast.
Our rooms were at the front overlooking the main road which was busy with buses and coaches coming and going from the early hours (6am) through to midnight taking and returning fellow residents on/from tours.
Easy location with parking to walk to all of Reykjavik- room was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful with many choices. Love hotels with password free WIFI
There was a mixup in the booking. I thought I had booked a room for double-occupancy, as my wife and I were traveling with our daughter and grand-daughter. The staff was very helpful in making arrangements especially during a very busy time in the city - New Years Eve.
Pleasant and helpful staff, great buffet breakfast, very nice rooms, comfortable beds, quiet location
Slightly away from city centre, about 10 min walk, but this is reflected in the price value.
free parking; friendly and helpfull reception staff; close to shopping streets; comfort in new rooms (old brewery) very nice and modern,
breakfast very basic and not best quality (warm & cold drinks tasted very industrial); comfort in new rooms (old brewery) very nice and modern, all others rooms (incl. suites) very old fashioned, with old TV sets, little bathrooms and little comfort.
The behaviour of staff after my arrival was kind of weird.
The location is superb for visiting the city centre, a short walk to the main shopping streets. Lovely clean rooms, very comfortable bed and a nice breakfast selection.
Wifi was slightly patchy down one end of the hotel
Large room size, great shower. Hotel situated on quiet street. Angela on reception very helpful. Free safe in room.
Doors to rooms very noisy if you don't bother to shut them quietly (many guest just let them slam shut). Scrambled egg and beans for breakfast luke warm to cold, the unit they are kept in does not keep them warm.
Excellent location, very close to the main shopping street, restaurants, bus station, old harbour and cathedral. The room was very spacious, lots of room for my grandson to play, good heating, wide variety of options for breakfast, helpful English speaking staff who helped us to book tours and snacks, drinks and sandwiches available to purchase anytime. Good restaurant next door for dinner.
There was a snow storm a few days before we arrived. It would have been good if the snow at the entrance to the hotel could have been cleared as it was difficult to maneauver from the coach with luggage and a young child. The snow then turned to ice which made it very slippery. We stayed at the hotel for six days and no attempt was made by the hotel to clear the snow or ice directly in front of the hotel. It would also have been useful to have a bit more options available to watch on tv as we were on holiday with a three year old so most nights we would be back to our room by 10pm.
1. Quiet location within just 15min walk away from the center. 2. One of the stop location of the Tour bus / Airport bus 3. Free stable wifi
1. Room wasn't cleaned well. 2. Smell of the water (Probably the same in many other hotels in Reykjavik)
Friendly staff, good range for breakfast and undercover parking
Large room.vAll excursions operators picked us up from the hotel. Staff were all very friendly
We had an attic room which was rather cold and draughty as the velux windows were directly over the bed
Great staff. Convenient location, walking distance to 1011 grocery store and shopping area. Free parking, which is rather valuable in that central area. Tasty and sufficient breakfast buffet. Practical toiletries and water cooker.
Small bathroom. Beds easily moves on the floor, and I couldn't sit on the bed and lean on the wall.
Breakfast buffet was plentiful right to the last moment. Staff took care of problems immediately without seeming to go out of their way. Location was close to the city so we needed no buses. A very enjoyable stay.
