The area was very quiet and the employees were very helpful. We walked down town each day (about 40 minutes to the harbour). It would be helpful to tell guests the distance to down town let the guest decide whether to walk or take a taxi. Also, it would be helpful to provide a small map of the immediate area to show grocery stores and restaurants in the area. We spent most of our time away from the hotel on a trip or downtown exploring, which was really interesting. It was nice to come back to a quiet place in the evening to relax in your hotel.

not a lot Room was not ready as expected when arrived. Requested extra bed both at time of booking and confirmed by phone. No knowledge of this when we arrived. Window would not close properly, as temprature was about -4, meant room was constantly cold and noisy.

Spacious room and bathroom, we were in a another building next to the main one, building is quite old but room was very modern. It's close to the zoo so if you want to be in the city center and don't have a car it's not the place to be! Price was extremely interesting in october.

Good location for going on excursions out of Reykjavik as it's close to the major roads out of town, we rented a car from the airport, parking at the hotel is free. There's a nearby supermarket open 24 hours / 7days as well as some fast food restaurants. Small kitchen and fridge in the spacious room. We had a great holiday.

This is a budget hotel but the beds were unbelievably comfy! The wifi worked and the lobby has 2 computers for guests to use. There is no elevator, so know that in advance if you have a lot of luggage! Also, it is about 20 minutes from the city center by walking so we would recommend having a car. Also, the hotel is quite old and doesn't have the newest decor but for the price, we were happy with it.

There is a good relationship between the price and service at this hotel. I Found the hotel too far away from everything because I didn't have a car. The hotel also could use a handy mann to fix a lot of small things disturbing the big picture.

The room was very nice, clean and very big for a triple. It had also refrigirator and cooking facilities. The reception was very helpfull with everything we asked. Breakfast costs 8 euros and I think it is a lot, but it didn't bother us cause you could use the room facilities to prepare your own breakfast.

It has spacious rooms and all the comforts one needs, including a reasonable price. Breakfast is a bit expensive though and one might want to shop elsewhere for that.

The room was big, contains 3 beds even we needed only 2. The kitchen was useful. Although the hot water was directly from geo, and has a strong sulphur smell, it is very good for bathing. You can boil cold fresh water by the hotpot as well. Location is a bit far from center, walks about 30 mins to downtown if you are fast walker. But during night, it was quiet and relaxed. An elevator would be useful especially for people have big cases and lives on the top floor.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Really small rooms. It is quite far from the city center (25 min walk) in the middle of an industrial area, a bit contradictory to the description. The staff was polite but not that service minded. There are far better options in Reykjavik for the same money.

Very good, 8.5

“It was clean, comfortable, in a perfect location - and most of all - it was quiet. It had all the necessities a traveller could need + additional space of an apartment compared to a small rooms Reykjavik hotel usually offer. Adjustable radiators are a very very important thing during the winter time as well ! Also, Reykjavik hotels in many cases are situated above or very near to night-clubs or pubs which makes it almost impossible to sleep there during the weekends. I stayed in Welcome Appartments Lindargata 38 apartment, and it has a perfect location - 3 minutes from Harpa conference hall, just around the corner from the main shopping street from one hand and the seashore from the other. Still there are no clubs or pubs next-door. The price was very good as well. I was extremely sattisfied with this choice !!! I will go for their appartments also next time and will not even bother with cheking the hotels !! even the self-chek-in is very convenient !!” Kairi, Tallinn |
