-Price correct for Reykavik. - Close to the botanical garden. - 2 young and smily women at the reception.
- A bit far from downtown - limestone on chrome shower
Comfortable room Late night check in (01:30)
Not very fast to center if going by public transport
Fair price, location little bit outside downtown, but you can walk there in 30min max. Very close to some shopping area. Easy to find.
On few occasions it was noisy at night time (traffic, trucks unloading)
The staff were pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was substantial. The bed was reasonable and I slept well. There were some nice seating areas available. There is a bus stop close by with frequent and fast service to the city centre. It is close to the zoo
The television was dreadful, only three channels functioned at all, one had no sound for some reason, one worked well and one was Sky News - not my favourite news provider. The bathroom could have been cleaned better. There was hair on the floor and the last persons towels were still hanging up in the bathroom. There was no light in the dark corridor and in the room the curtains did not exclude light effectively so if you find it difficult to sleep where there is light coming in it would not be ideal. The picture gives a false impression, the trees outside have been cut down. The hotel is in the middle of a light industrial area so the surrounds are ... uninspiring.
Nothing to like.
To far from the centre of town. Staff very unfriendly. Rooms unclean. Very poor facilities.
The bath room needs some renovation, while the sleeping room was ok.
Staff were very helpfull and friendly
Fine big rooms. Parking by the hotel
To far away form the centre of Reykjavik (walking)
Breakfast, walking distance to downtown, helpful staff.
The bathroom was really dirthy. The white curtain of the shower was yellow. The wasbasin was filthy. We found a used razor blade and a syringe in the bathroom. There were filthy fingerprints on the doors and the wardrobe and red residues on the radiator (probably nail polish). The bed linen wasn't really white anymore and had even dirthy spots. At the reception they were not friendly and they are bone idle. Definitely a no-go!!!
I liked the nice view from the room to the north on the mountains
I couldn't turn the heating off in the room, the hot water has a strong rotten eggs smell but i guess it is everywhere in Reykjavik like this
Stress-free access by rental car (no complicated city centre traffic), ample free parking in front and at the back of the hotel, reasonably friendly staff helping with information about tourist attractions, large room (double bed + two-level bunk bed), own equipped kitchennet in the room (including dishes), free WiFi.
It was not entirely clear that the room would be so big (including the extra bunk beds and kitchennet) - may have done with a smaller/cheaper room. There is really nothing immediately around the hotel in terms of shops and restaurants. Modest breakfest.
One very helpful concierge; ability to walk into town, although it was about a 40 minute walk - longer than anticipated from the website.
Could have had a bit more care in restocking the room(coffee and tea) and could have run a vacuum over the rug once or twice. Also no elevator and I was on the third floor (and am well over my student days!)
Excellent rooms for this price, very good WiFi. Good location.
The milk in the breakfast had a poor taste, old?
Not the cleanest place. Get what you pay for.
The hotel room had everything you need, incl. TV and a little fridge. Staff was very helpful and even sent a fax free of charge. Computer available for use free of charge, WiFi, too. Good value for money!
The room had thick layers of dust on every surface, in the shower the almost-empty shampoo bottle of a previous guest hadn´t been removed. Basic cleaning looked good though, towels & bed linen were clean. You may want to bring a sleep mask for light summer nights as the curtains don´t black out the light completely. Breakfast is served from 7.30am only (in winter). There are, however, a 24/7 supermarket and a café within 10 min walking distance. The hotel is located in an industrial zone, it´s a 10 min walk down to the main road where busses are leaving. No shops around.
Great hotel for overnight in Reykjavik.
CLEAN AND CHEAP
A little far off the centre but very cheap for Reykjavik or for Iceland in general. Very clean also.
The windows didn't fully close which is why is was very cold in the room.
The rooms were spacious an clean.
It was impossible to get any tv channels!!!
The room was nice and with a kitchen included. The price was fair.
It is located further away of the center as i thought-you have to travel there with bus. No much live nearby. The room was not cleaned by the personal on my 3 days there.
Staff provided excellent help and advice with roads and restaurants etc...
Little walk from the city centre but this is good for parking.
Proximity to open air swimming pool.
Duvets a little small for bed!
Fantastic room and the staff went out of their way to help with anything they could. Everyone was friendly and had great sightseeing ideas. The location was good. Sure it's a walk into the city centre but the Flybus stops at the hotel and you can reach an excellent 24hr supermarket and a great cafe within a 10 min walk. The supermarket had great selection and decent prices. The wifi worked frat as well.
Honestly I had no issues with this hotel. I really don't understand why it keeps getting such bad reviews. I would recommend this hotel and had a lovely, relaxing stay.
Worth to stay with limited budget. Impressive by using natural underground hot spring water as hot water. Felt good after bath. Very Friendly and helpful staff.
No Lift and you need to carry own heavy lugguage up to your room. Location away from major attraction, but with your own car, thats not a problem.
