A bit too off city centre

This is a really nice hotel to stay at if you aren't going for the hotel itself or the surroundings, and just need a cheap and relatively nice place to sleep.

I didn't care about this but prospective travelers might be interested to know that this hotel is in the middle of a district that mostly just contains office buildings and light industry. If you're planning on seeing the center you'd need to factor in the cost of a taxi into the price of the hotel.

The Arctic Comfort hotel was the best place I have stayed at in Europe. I could live there for all my days. Rarely do I ever love a hotel room like this as I live in my own house. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was immaculate. I enjoyed everything!

The superior twin room has good bathroom facilities and a comfy bed. We were able to check in early which was ideal because our flight arrived earlier than expected.

The receptionist was not very friendly and didn't make us feel too welcome. The room was not very modern and unlike other hotels in Iceland it wasn't very well heated.

Really nice rooms and facilities.

A far walk from city center.

The room felt spacious and the beds (and duvets) were comfortable; the breakfast buffet was plentifully stocked; the young woman at the desk when we checked in was very pleasant and helpful with directions, a good restaurant recommendation, and tour booking. The airport bus brought us directly to the hotel and picked us up there as well.

It is quite a way out from the downtown area. There is good bus service but the nearest stop is a couple of blocks away so not great when the weather is cold and windy.

Good price! Good for driving people.

The hotel was far away from the town center

The hotel is very clean and the employees are friendly and help you effectively for instance with making tour reservations or shuttles to the airport. The breakfast buffet is served on time and it is varied and you get enough food to start a (busy) day. The beds are very comfortable, which is not always the case even in expensive hotels!

The only minus point is that you have to walk about 40 minutes to come to the city center, that is the only incovenient, but on the other hand there are busses too.

Clean, efficient and quiet. Great staff, nice bar and outside area. Pick up and drop off bus service.

"far" from the city center (considering the Reykjavik city dimensions 30 minutes walk is a lot) but it's an aceptable limitation considering the high comfort quality of the room.

The hotel is far (3.5km) away from the city centre. The girl at the reception didn't know anything about the nightlife and booked the bus back to the airport at the wrong hour. One day the Wifi didn't work anymore

Small room, tv not working properly, you can see through bathroom/toilet no toilet brush, floor not clean and above all, the sulphuric smell when using water! I know we are in Iceland but that was quite bad! Unless you don't have much money or a car, go to another place.

Cheap hotel room!

An elevator would be useful especially for people have big cases and lives on the top floor! Room was not really clean! We had a kitchen, but the inventary was poor!
