Hilton Reykjavik has arrangements with all major tour operators in Reykjavik. These will collect and drop you off at no additional costs for every excursion you book. Additionally, there's a tourist office located in the lobby, which books all these trips free of charge. All this, including the free shuttlebus into town makes this hotel the perfect base for your daytrips in the Reykjavik area. The hotel was a bit further removed from the city center than I expected. It will take you about 20 minutes to walk into town and it's not a very scenic walk (more like walking along an industrial estate). Not a big deal on a nice sunny day, but in my case it was gale winds and rain. |

Es gab einen kostenlosen Parkplatz und die Lobby ist sehr gemütlich. Das Zimmer liegt weitab vom Zentrum. In Anbetracht des Rufes des Hotels haben wir das zunächste gern in Kauf genommen. Aber: Unser Zimmer war sehr hellhörig und klein. Das Bett war winzig und unbequem. Alles in allem hielten die Bilder nicht, was sie versprachen. Der angebotene Standard liegt meines Erachtens weit unter dem vergleichbarer Hotels. Der Preis für das Zimmer sowie für das Frühstück war eine Unverschämtheit. Wir wollten abends noch ins Spa, aber das hat leider unmögliche öffnungszeiten. |
