Huge room and good service! Hotel provides travelcards that gives free travels around reykjavik by bus (15-13 min interval; 4 buses). Room is big enough for little one to run around.

Comfortable hotel I asked for a wake-up call at 5:30am as I had my flight at 7.40am. But they never woke me up! Somehow I woke up at 6:40am and jumped out of bed, grabed my bag and stuff, ran to the reception and droped my key card at reception and drove 49km to the airport - via Avis -. At the security check, I told them that my good hotel had not woken me up - as requested - and the guy there just said "bxxxxxxs" "I will help you"! Indeed he did, he processed me really fast and got me to my gate which was final call. I think I had a maximum of 2 minutes spare! Thanks to security guy and the guy at avis that drove me to the airport (300m) I made it! Otherwise, I would have had to pay €500+ to get back home and be 5-6 late where my daughter was waiting. The only thing is I met get a speeding ticket (or 2) as I drove well above the prescribed 90kmph. If I get a ticket, I'm wondering who will pay for it?

It's beautiful and they have trained the Icelandic staff to be friendly. Nice. :) That's not to be taken lightly in the land of ice and fire. I liked every thing.

Location was very good. It is not in the main business or commercial areas, but so many things, attractions, shopping, and restaurants are a short walk or drive away. It is easy to get to and has easy access to the main highways and roads. Wonderful hotel. Room service menu is very limited. It is more a bistro menu. Also, while the resaurant is very good, they do want reservations. A local told me they hsve the best brunch in town.

Fantastic view from our window. Comfy bed. The breakfast. Plenty of cold choice from the buffet but the hot food was poor. Cold plates for a start, then the food was luke warm and cold by the time you were ready to eat. The fried eggs had a skin on them. This occurred on every day of our stay and I didn't even bother with it on the last day. The breakfast room was very busy.

The room was very comfortable. The building was nicely designed. The person at reception was not friendly. Also, the blackout curtains weren't effective - I had to wear a sleep mask to block out the light overnight.
