On Laugavegur shopping street in central Reykjavik, this hotel has modern rooms with a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. Hallgrimskirkja Church is a 5-minute walk away.
Score from 181 reviews Wonderful
Offering the only indoor hotel pool in Reykjavík, this eco-friendly hotel is next to Öskjuhlíd Hill’s quiet woods and just over half a mile from Nauthólsvík geothermal beach.

This stylish hotel is just over one mile from central Reykjavik and its largest outdoor swimming pool, Laugardalslaug. It has a free shuttle bus to the city 3 times a day.
Score from 157 reviews Very good
-Bed was extremely comfortable -Xmas gifts placed on door handles on each day of Christmas -office dedicated to booking tours
-Room never wasnt turned down ( no did sign was placed outside door) -reception staff might be knowledgable but extremely rude and lazy. Was told I couldnt order room service from the IN ROOM DINING and was told I should collect it myself from the reception. No point having an in room dining !!!
Friendly, helpful and happy staff who went above beyond. Gorgeous and modern facilities. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies were the icing on the cake.
Pearla, the concierge who worked in the gift shop was the most pleasant and helpful concierge I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She went out of her way to ensure we got the tours we wanted and that we were picked up on time 100% Thank you. Also the vegetarian dish served in the bar was excellent and the complimentary hot chocolate at reception was much appreciated.
We used the complimentary shampoo & conditioner on the first day (my daughter has long hair) and they were not replaced.
The room is clean and comfort. And the buffet breakfast was excellent.
The internet was so weak. Sometimes, my iPad could not even detect the single.
Everything except:very expensive breakfast!
Very expensive breakfast!
The staff at the reception is very helpful. Thank them very much
Hilton Reykjavik is my biggest disappointment in this year. 1. in the bathroom were swollen and broken skirting and trims (room 506) 2. The breakfast was very meager if we are compared to a nearby hotel where we stayed in 2013 3. Employees who have to take the dirty dishes from the tables and serving coffee were definitely inattentive
Good location, short bus ride from the town. Rooms comfortable, excellent breakfast.
The bar staff were rather rude; we were left standing at the bar waiting to order and were ignored while 3 of them including a manager chatted and then walked off!
The food was great, the room, all staff very helpfull... Highly recommend !!!
Friendly staff Free Wifi Sky Sports Comfortable room
Wasnt possible to turn the shower on - only the bath worked. No complimentary breakfast
The breakfast staff in particular were excellent, breakfast itself too. Spacious room.
charged for bath robes and slippers
Nice view and close to Laugardshöllir where European championships in Team gymnastics were held.
Loved everything about this hotel, from the modern surroundings to the super comfortable beds. The spa was amazing and the breakfast buffet and brunch buffet were out of this world! We will return to Iceland one day and would only stay here .... why book somewhere else when this hotel is so good!
Fabulous breakfast. Staff were quick to respond to any needs we had, i.e. Extra pillows Lovely bathroom. Good tourist info desk. Free parking.
A few too many groups. Too far from city centre. We had booked for 3 and towels, pillows etc were only supplied for 2.
Executive lounge. Views of sea and mountains. Quality and size of room
Insufficient elevators to deal with peak periods.
Clean, modern and spacious Friendly & helpful staff Executive Lounge Gym & Spa
Too far to walk to anything interesting.
The Hilton Reykjavik Nordica is close enough to the city center of Reykjavik to be convenient and far enough away to avoid the downtown noise and congestion. The hotel offers free bus passes to guests for public transportation. Downtown is a 15 minute bus ride, with bus stops very close to the hotel, and the desk staff is very helpful with suggestions for use of the bus system. The food in the hotel restaurant is excellent, particularly the amazing breakfast buffet. Hotel Reykjavik is clean and comfortable, a good choice for a visit to this great city.
The hotel is, as you would expect , clean , nice lobby with bar and a little boutique ,the vox restaurant is superb in terms of food served ...beautiful , you still can order food from the bar it is a little less formal and the food served there is also great , happy hour from 5 to 7 will make you some savings (beer bottle is around 7gbp!!),Wifi is free in rooms and in hotel lobby /restaurant/bar , you can have a free bus pass to go around the city . Walking from the hotel to city center is 25mns so I would opt for bus .Complementary coffee in rooms as well , tv with good channel selection , all in all a great place to stay in Reykjavik . The only thing is it is a bit far from city centre if you do not have a car , and planning a night out and going back to hotel with the bus will be a nightmare !
A little bit far from city centre but otherwise ok .
The location was fine, the bus pass was a great help, the front desk staff were very helpful. Rooms were made up pompltly.
I am still confused about my billing, I paid the hotel costs up front, and the items purchased or charged such as breakfast at the hotel seemed to be exceedingly high on my final billing. Unable to get satisfactory explanation. Otherwise no complaints.
Not really near to city centre
Good sized room and to Hilton standard generally.
Quite a way from the centre - 30 minute walk although there are buses. Quite expensive given location
The hotel had booked a twin room instead of a double. They quickly rectified this and gave us an upgrade as well. All this with the minium of fuss. Impressed.
spa closed on Sunday
We booked a room for one night and needed to stay for an additional night. When we asked if we could stay one more night they said it would cost us $700 for the same room we already booked at $280. Needless to say we checked in to another hotel more accommodating. same scenario we need to book another night, they had no problem accommodating us and booked the room for the same price originally booked for $230.
