The room was extremely clean. Location of the hotel was good. More typical type of the hotel we are accustomed to, coming from the USA. Close to various restaurants in the area.

Small but comfy rooms, good value for money. Good location. No fridge in room. Hotel staff appeared to be less experienced than the hotels we stayed in other major cities in Europe.

New hotel located on the hill with great view on the city and harbor. Room was clean and tidy. Elevator in the building and lots of parking places. For the Internet we had to pay 900 isk per 24 H. Breakfast was typical, nothing special. The wc and the shower room just behind small wall and glass door next to the bed - not comfortable.

Bright, friendly and modern rooms. Very good breakfast buffet (for extra charge). Due to the location on a corner of two streets with quite a lot traffic it was very loud all the night. Also there was a crowd of people making noise right in front of our window until 4 a.m. I suppose they were there because it was friday and there was a local party downtown. Unfortunately there was neither free WiFi nor any guest laundry.

The decoration of the room was really nice and simple. Very clean. The breakfast was pretty good. I wish we had stayed at more Icelandair hotels... Nearly everywhere we stayed in Iceland had thin, light coloured curtains so it was a bit hard to sleep with 23 hour per day sunlight. This hotel was the same.

This was the only real hotel we stayed in (we mainly stayed in hostels/guesthouses). But it was a very nice variation. Excellent hotel, very nice rooms and excellent breakfast (2nd best of our 2 weeks trip, best was at Grimmsborgir in Selfoss). Really value for money compared to other accomodation we stayed in. The location is in the town centre but up on the hill (quite a steep climb on foot). Very nice is that the hotel is located next to the town's swimming pool. I went there at 7 AM in the morning, which is great if you can't sleep because of the midnight sun :-) Nice pool, hot tub (different temperatures) and 2 big pools. Nothing negative except that there is no airco. The sun was on our room so it was very hot. Luckily it cooled down as the sun moved west.

It was very spare, but comfortable, and luxurious for the money, which was not as expensive as I thought it would be. The staff was very helpful, and the bar and breakfast there were both great. A close walk down to town and the water as well. The only thing I think that could've made it better is if there was a sauna. Not much to complain about!

Having made a booking for 3 persons in a room which was accepted, it was not until we sought a re-confirmation of our booking that we were told that the hotel would not accommodate 3 persons in a room and that another room would need to be booked. On arrival at the hotel; a) it took the desk clerk a considerable time to locate this second booking, and b) the key to this second room seemed to be lost and again it took some time to provide us with a key. With the costs associated with this hotel, we feel that better service would have been provided. Also, having travelled extensively around Iceland (and other countries) over the past six weeks, this is the only hotel where wi-fi access was not included in the tariff. Poor form!

Lovely rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Nice design. Will stay longer next time. Some members of the hotel staff were very friendly while others seemed a tad arrogant (or maybe just old-fashioned?).

The room was very modern, clean and extremely comfortable. Great location in Akureyri, just a short walk to restaurants and shopping. It would be nice if they did not charge extra for Wi-Fi.

Very modern, comfortable hotel with excellent restaurant serving imaginative dinner and breakfast was particularly good here. It was a bit of a hike to the town centre and waterside, up and down hill and was so modern it was slightly impersonal. This was counteracted by the quality of the rooms and food.
