Comfortable, warm cabin
Major negative - no washer or dryer car is left some distance from cabin - a bit of a walk with luggage, groceries etc. Path not lit - so not pleasant walking it in the dark
Solitude, peace, view, top notch facilities, carefully thought through details, follow up over phone to check if all was well. Clear instruction package. Lot of facilities to stay indoors when the Icelandic weather is dodgy. Extremely close to most sight seeing spots in Southern Iceland. Selfoss is very close to shopping essentials was a cake walk.
Access, but there was a road being laid during out stay, so I guess this be solved.
Nice private secluded spot, but within easy reach to town for shops etc, also good base to explore local area.Less than an hour from Reykjavik easy to get to.great spa to sit and relax with a drink and look out to surrounding country.Found cabin very comfortable and had most thinks anyone would need, except perhaps a microwave which would have been handy.
Some old construction rubbish about which could have been cleared up,but when in spa or cabin can't be seen so not a big deal but does detract from the grounds and the otherwise excellent set up.
Comfortable furnishings, good location for exploring (by car) other areas
This place is marketed to sound like there are multiple cabins and amenities, however it seems to be just one cabin owned by a couple of friends. It was difficult to find - no sign of any sort, luckily we recognized the cabin from website photo, so parked and tried the door. It was unlocked, but there was no note or anything to welcome us or give any indication we were in the right place. We tried the Reykavic number but no one answered, and finally got ahold of the friend at the number in the UK. The furnishings inside were nice, modern and comfortable. However, the lot was overgrown (ruining what would have been a lovely view from the deck) and there was renovation debris scattered around (old toilet, etc). Odd. Also, the kitchen was not well stocked for a group - only 3 coffee mugs and glasses, for a three bedroom place. Finally, they advertise a Nespresso machine, which they had, but there were no espresso pods and these are not available to purchase at the regular grocery stores in town. Disappointing. All in all we had a comfortable stay, but it seems this place is being marketed as something different than what it is.
Outstanding accommodation and a wonderful way to end our stay in Iceland. We didn't want to leave!
Superb combination of idyllic remote location but in easy reach of attractions, and fantastic facilities
Brilliant view. The hot tub was lovely and I liked that there is an outdoor stereo. The kitchen and living room are well equipped. If you drive like the locals, then Reykjavík is 45 mins away, otherwise, it is closer to 2 hours drive.
The hot water for the shower ran out after just a few people had showers.
Extremely helpful and friendly owners. Great location. Beautiful views. Modern interior. Hot tub. Outdoor sound system. All modern appliances. Comfortable furniture.
For somewhere so secluded it was very easy to find. Great view and enjoyed watching the stars from the hot tub!
Great location for watching the Northen Lights, especially from the hottub! Had a few little extras to offer that other cabins didn't like ipod docking & outside speakers for the hottub. Owner was very helpful and kept in contact by phone incase we needed anything. 10Min drive from town for food/petrol.
Nowhere to hang any clothes yet but the owner is working on this.
