Lovely sight on the sea Helpful receptionist for tranfer to the airport
wi-fi password didn't work. Breakfast barely adequate
Spacious and tidy rooms. Nice location, very quiet.
Broken showerhead in one room. Limited options at breakfast.
Friendly, Helpful Staff, Beautiful Views of the Water, Close to the Airport, Cute Town with a 24Hour Store...
I can't really think of anything I didn't like.
Good facility Good price/value Good restaurant options in the area
close to the airport
noisy bar across the street until late at night. windows leaked sound.
Free and efficient wifi. Large room very clean. 5 mins from Keflavik airport. Free breakfast
Breakfast choice is quite limited. Keflavik is boring as hell.
a bit too expensive
Close to airport
Lack of community service nearby
Very friendly and helpful service! Very close to the airport! Nice hotel with comfortable room after a lot of disappointing hotels. I felt welcome.
very helpful receptionist. good early breakfast.
we booked a room with a balcony but did not get one. since we were only there for a night it wasn't worth mentioning.
We had a 10 hr layover in Kevlik Int airport on our return from Amsterdam to Boston. I made the reservation that afternoon from Amsterdam, and the hotel shuttle picked us up at midnight and gave us a return ride at 6:30 am with no problems. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a tv in the room, free WiFi, and a breakfast available at 6am. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful.
Would have liked to have had soap in bathroom for shower.
Nice and clean. The staff was nice, speacaly the breakfast woman :)
Very friendly people!
location was easy to get to breakfast friendly staff
no elevator bed was a little uncomfortable extremely basic toiletries offered no hairdryer in the room no airport transport offered by hotel
Lovely room - ours had an amazing panoramic window view over the sea, which about half the rooms do - would definitely recommend booking or asking for one of these if you can. Fast reliable Wi-Fi, friendly helpful staff, basic but functional breakfast, good town centre location. Extremely well placed for the airport, less than 10 mins in a taxi (or walkable in 45mins if you only have hand luggage), and they start breakfast from about 5 so even if you have an early flight you can still get a bite to eat first. Can also recommend Fernandos Pizzeria over the road, really good quality woodfired pizza with interesting toppings well beyond standard chain or takeaway fare.
The Irish pub over the road appears to be open all night or at least til after 4 at weekends, might be a bit noisy of you had a street side room.
Spacious, bright rooms. En-suite, which is rare in Iceland, unless you part with a fortune
Staff aware that breakfast buffet was chaotic, cramped and rather limited. Advised to have a very very early breakfast in order to get any food. Surely thay can improve their systems.
Close to the airport, rooms have black out curtains, bathroom was clean and nice
Hotel is right across from a karaoke bar, which during my one night stay was packed with people yelling and singing until 2 in the morning. When I told the person at the front desk, asking for earplugs or a different room, she dismissed my concern and suggested that I was exaggerating the loudness. I got what I paid for, she said.
The service was excellent! The staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Soap ? Shampoo? Shelf in bathroom would be helpful.
The staff was very helpful and my room was clean. I had a great view as well!
Wi-Fi signal could be better.
friendly and helpful staff
Absolutely everything ;) we spent our first night in Keilir and the service was incredible. The owner of the hotel is the nicest lady on Earth. We popped in to the hotel later on for some info and the gentlemen was more than happy to help. Breakfast was really good as well. Thanks for everything (room 212 1st of May)
saying goodbye :)
Big room, looked recently renovated. The room had a balcony (would have been very nice in the summer)
Wind was blowing more or less through the balcony door, bathroom was not perfectly clean, some hair and dust on the floor, took a long time before some warm water was available in the shower (was I the only guest? Felt so.) No airport shuttle service included, taxi costed 3000kr to airport. They would need a better sign outside, had some problem to find the hotel, from outside it looked closed.
The beds were a dream - even sleeping in twin beds or doubles with one's own duvet - the mattresses were good and firm, and everything was quiet, except, when we opened the windows, for the boom and rush of the sea. So very peaceful. The hotel is VERY close to The Blue Lagoon and the airport - very convenient. The hotel phoned a taxi for us, and cheerful, funny Ṏsti was our driver the entire time we were there. Everyone was very accommodating, and if they didn't know the answer to a question - or couldn't understand it - they got someone who could. They were patient with us.
This was more to do with other patrons than the hotel - there was a big group of young men who swarmed the breakfast bar, rudely, and grabbed food as if there was famine. The staff couldn't keep up with the coffee, or the eggs. Maybe more options for breakfast - regular Continental fare plus regular Icelandic fare - would have prevented them feeling that the hotel would run out of food? Or, maybe their mothers should have trained them better. Hard to tell.
A view of the water and the distant lights of Reykjavik were stunning. If the northern lights had appeared it would have been perfect.
It was odd that they had to go through several large books before they found a copy of our reservation; then I needed to sign a M/C receipt for which I had already prepaid.
Location in downtown Keflavk. Nice view from room towards the coast
Restaurant not open when I stayed but other restaurants nearby.
