This modern hotel is peacefully situated in the southern Icelandic village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur, a 1-hour drive from Skaftafell National Park and the Vatnajokull glacier. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Simple, yet modern décor is featured in each Icelandair Hotel Klaustur guest room. Some rooms also have coffee/tea making facilities and a hairdryer. Klaustur’s in-house restaurant offers a breakfast buffet and a dinner menu. The restaurant features spectacular mountain views. The hotel is located near the largest glacier in Iceland and hence is convenient for us to travel to the glacier. The environment surrounding the hotel is very beautiful, and the hotel room is clean and cozy. Hotel staff is friendly. Can only access internet near lobby area and not from hotel room.

Nice staff, clean Was moved rooms (uopgraded) as there was a large party booked in after we had booked the room. However the room we were put in was directly above the loudest part of the party where the live musician was.This coulod have been organised better, as we were disturbed by the noise untill 1am. When the manager stated he would turn it down.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. I would definitely stay there again next time I'm in Iceland

Big bed, comfortable room. Good food at the restaurant. No wireless in the room (only at the bar/lobby) No hot tubs in the hotel.

This is a suprisingly nice hotel, especially given its location which, to Americans, seems to be in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet is pricey but very good.

We did not enjoy our stay at the hotel. It's described on their website as a charming hotel with rooms that offer comfort and relaxation. Not sure what is charming about the hotel and the room reminded us of a youth hostel. The food is described on the website as succulent dishes?!? The food we had was very expensive, very simple and tiny portions (really tiny!!) The website mentioned that the restaurant has spectaculair views, we didn't see that.

Le personnel très a l ecoute, hôtel mitoyen d une piscine extérieure chauffée + bains chauds, a proximité d' un supermarché et d' un restaurant au prix/ qualité très correct. A 40min du parc skatafell Pas de free wifi disponible dans les chambres ( même si ordinateur libre accès dans le hall)

Le manager de l'hôtel était à l'écoute de nos besoins et nous a aidé d'une manière pratique et nous a donné beaucoup d'explicatiosn sur la région Je tiens a préciser que nous étions en basse saison, en hiver, il y avait (nous compris) 4 clients dans tout l'hôtel... Nous avons super bien mangé le soir! A recommander! Le petit déjeuner est encore a améliorer.
