I needed a less budget type room for one night as I was going on a full day tour at the end of another tour. It was convenient for being picked up by the buses and the front desk staff was proficient in arranging pickup for needed connections. This is FYI: the room smelled rather musty. |

central location, personal friendly, clean room. I booked for 5 night at the Klopp hotel, but for a overbooking problem I stayed for 4 night at the Arnarhvoll hotel and for 1 night at the Klopp. At the Arnahvoll everything was excellent. At the Klopp my room (number 104) was at the ground floor, very disturbed at night: out of the window I could say hello to the people on the streets. Very bad position for friday/saturday night. The breakfast was poor at the Klopp (excellent at the Arnahvoll). |

Its location is excellent. The breakfast was adequate. The staff should be better informed about such things as where you can park a car free of charge, where the next bank automat is, about prices for taxis. |

Nice place, helpful desk staff (most of them, anyway-- one or two were a little grumpy). Clean and spacious with a proper (American-style) double bed, complete with box spring. The room was spartan and not exactly spacious, but for two people that used it only for showering and sleeping, it was perfect. WiFi would have been nice, but they had a free computer in the lobby that was almost always available. Great free buffet breakfast. |

The location was fantastic, within walking distance of the main shopping street, restaurants, the harbour etc. The beds were comfortable and there was ready supply of hot water and complimentary tea service in the room. The breakfast is simple but adequate. Stefan at the reception was fantastic as he informed us at 4.30am when we wanted to catch the Flybus to the airport that the airport's shut due to the volcanic eruption. It was the correct decision! There is no separation of shower cubicle in the bathroom so the floor tends to get very wet after just one shower, because of this we used towels to absorb the wetness which meant replacing them everyday (which the hotel will do). The cleaning staff could have been more conscientious in vaccuming the floor as we participated in activities everyday and brought sand into the room regularly. |

Hotel staff were very very friendly always willing to help out if had any questions or wanted to find things to do or see around Reykjavik or iceland itself!! Room was cheap and in great condition always kept very clean, well heated and bathroom very nice and clean!! Perfect place for a traveller looking for bit of luxury at a more budget price |
