Hotel Laxnes  

Great stay, very good price and quality. Stategic position for visiting Reykjavik and surrouding. I recommend it!!!

Spacious for Iceland, clean, windows open to fresh air and lovely valley views. Staff attentive and friendly. Very comfortable beds. Good value for the money in Iceland.

Very nice Hotel with very friendly Personal. The rooms have been very clean an the view from the Windows ist excellent. The Hotel served an very good homemade Lamb-Meat-Soup. It was delicios!!! I´m sure, I´m coming back to Hotel Laxnes :-)

The Place, where the Breakfast is served is a little bit too small. More than 2 Persons cannot reach the Food. It`l be an Problem while Mainseason, when the Hotel ist booked out.

The location - it is a 15 minute drive from the drive and about an hour from the airport. It means that you can enjoy the peace of the location after a day in the city centre. This time we used it as a one night stay as our main hotel was out in the countryside, and we would definitely use it next time we come to Iceland. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean.

The reception service, no restaurant for dinner, and have to leave may building to go to room.

Room was modern, well-equipped, clean, quiet and had a superb mountain view. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had an exceptionally good price for a 3-day stay in a kitchenette unit (upgrade), excluding breakfast. Nearby, within easy walking distance, there are 2 large grocery stores, a variety of take-out restaurants and a high-end bakery & cafe. Location north of Reykjavik was convenient, given our travel plans and fact we had a car.

Clean and comfortable rooms and a reasonable price for the Reykjavik area.

One of us has difficulty walking. While the hotel provided handicap- accessible rooms, they used short steep ramps over the door thresholds of the room and the breakfast area to facilitate the use of wheelchairs, and the ramps were made of smooth metal that was extremely slippery when wet. This made it very hazardous for an ambulatory person who has difficulty walking. We almost skipped going to breakfast because of this problem. We would not recommend this hotel for someone with walking difficulty, but for anyone else it is a good value for the money, which is rare in Iceland.

Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Service, saubere und große Zimmer, prima gelegen für Touren nach Reykjavik, Golden Circle, Reykjanes. Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Reykjavik in 15 Min. mit dem Auto erreichbar. Gute Alternative zu den teureren Stadthotels. Sehr gute Tips des Hotel Managers Shaun Roberts für Ausflüge/Wanderungen in der direkten Umgebung und nahegelegene Restaurants.
