Very conveniently located, had everything we needed, very quiet and comfortable. There was a peculiar strong smell in the apartment which was unpleasant. Also, it would have been nice to have a blanket in the front room; otherwise comfortable.

Brilliant location; 3 mins to main street, tourist info, supermarket bakery; full kitchen facilities; pick up option for tours/day trips; quiet street No blinds on the kitchen/living room windows (but this seemed normal in Reykjavik)

Great staff, the owner does a great job solving any problems you might have and recommending restaurants, activities, etc. The apartments are very well located in the city centre and very close to nightlife, shopping and restaurants. You don't need a car if you are staying in this apartments. Our room was in a lower ground floor, which was not ideal, and for some reason instead of having 1 king bed, the room had 2 twin beds put together, which I didn't like. Aside from those 2 details, everything was perfect, very clean and confortable.

The location is excellent with no more than ten minutes walk to all the sights and attractions in Reykjavik 101. a great welcome and loads of advice. The single bedroom apartment (a free upgrade from studio) was spotlessly clean with great facilities - widescreen tv, satellite programs, fully-equipped kitchenette and free Wi-Fi. You're never going to cook a Sunday lunch in the kitchenette but fine for breakfast and a simple evening meal so for those on a budget (or a vegetarian like me) this can be really useful. You are left to come and go as you please and it feels like you live in this wonderful vibrant city. Check out the music scene in 101 - fantastic!

Luna Hotel Apartments were clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and met us at the apartment even though we arrived much later than anticipated. The hotel is walking distance from the Reykjavik old town, and I really enjoyed my stay here.

Great location and friendly staff. Very central and close to lots of good restaurants and shops. We got upgraded as it was low season and was very handy having the kitchenette and own little lounge. Wi-fi was a bit rubbish.

Our stay at Luna was fantastic, Ellert the Manager/ Owner, is extremely welcoming offering personal insight into sights and attractions of Reykjavik, and details of the area surrounding the apartments. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and were amazed with the equipment in the kitchen, the beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. Being an apartment it is more for the independent traveller which for us is exactly what we wanted. Should we come back to Reykjavik we will certainly be returning to Luna.

Stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse apartment. Found the apartment well equipped with everything needed for a long-weekend stay. It even had a flatscreen that accepted my USB drive with movies, which was invaluable when the kids woke up at 5 am with no understanding of time zone differences between the continent and Iceland. As the apartment is located on the top floor the high winds made quite a lot of noise during the night. The area itself was rather quiet from urban noise.

Ellert is very friendly and is always concerned about your well-being (and will even go above and beyond his call of duty). He has become a friend of ours! The Luna Apartments were a 2 to 5 minute walk from everything (location is perfect) AND it is peaceful and quiet (which is something I was also concerned about). Our room was very clean and had everything we needed... and more. Next time I come to Reykjavik, I won't hesitate to stay there again... in fact I am recommending the place to my friends!

Nice cosy appartments with very friendly staff. Our children really liked the comfortable beds, the big flatscreen TV and the peace and quiet. Great location, short walking distance to city center. Very easy procedures at check-in and check-out ("just leave the keys"). Large collection of books in the appartment (some even in german). some furnitures slightly worn, kitchen fume hood was greasy.

Luna Apartments are actually located in several different buildings in Rekjavik. The building we stayed in was closer to the main shopping streets and it was ground/basement level so the street noise was quite loud. That said, the apartment was lovely, clean and nicely renovated. The hotelier was friendly and very helpful. Easy walking to the main sites, shopping and wonderful restaurants, plus close enough to the city's bus station to catch tours to the Blue Lagoon and other nature excursions. A fun place to visit!

Location is fantastic; also rooms are very spacious, kitchen is fully equipped for Iceland standards, and having 2.5 bathrooms is very convenient. Only point to mention is that entrance to the building is not very well mantained and that the stairs to go up are a bit narrow and steep, especially when you are carrying luggage. In any case, apartment from the inside is fantastic.

This was the perfect location for our trip! My friend and I shared the cozy studio apartment and had the best time. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It was a little noisy being street level, but nothing ear plugs couldn't solve. Would definitely stay there again.

The luna hotel apartments is a perfect place to stay in reykjavik. the building is clean, comfortable, and charming. it is conveniently located to downtown: 2 very short blocks to the main shopping/dining area, 1 very short block to a super market and bakery, easy walking to museums & the pond. the area is safe and quiet, w lots of parking nearby if you have a car. free internet and phone (for local calls). we had booked a studio, but were upgraded to the 'blue' apartment (all the apartments are named for colors), a 1 bedroom. it was clean, comfortable, and charming, w a great bed, cooking facilities, and satellite tv. the owners are very helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. i don't think we could have found a better place to stay.

We were upgraded to a 2-room apartment, which was brand-new. All furntiture, bedding, etc was top-notch. The apartment was on a quiet street very close to the heart of Reykjavik and down the street from a grocery store. The location couldn't be better. Only comment (and I think because the apartment was brand new), was lack of some standard kitchen items like sugar, coffee filters, etc.

Very friendly and helpfull staff (the owner)! Located near the city center but in quiet area. Well equipped room (microwave, fridge, kettle, satelite tv, wifi hotspot, hairdryer, ipod dock, heating system). Finding free parking nearby is a bit tricky.

There are so many things to recommend this apartment - the excellent location in the city centre, the beautiful decor, the friendliness of the staff, the standard and comprehensiveness of the facilities. All get top marks.

“Wonderfull modern apartment with all home facilities in the center of Reykjavik - what more can be asked for a frequent traveller who finds it boring to stay at international hotels? “It was clean, comfortable, in a perfect location - and most of all - it was quiet. It had all the necessities a traveller could need + additional space of an apartment compared to a small rooms Reykjavik hotel usually offer. Adjustable radiators are a very very important thing during the winter time as well ! Also, Reykjavik hotels in many cases are situated above or very near to night-clubs or pubs which makes it almost impossible to sleep there during the weekends. I stayed in Welcome Appartments Lindargata 38 apartment, and it has a perfect location - 3 minutes from Harpa conference hall, just around the corner from the main shopping street from one hand and the seashore from the other. Still there are no clubs or pubs next-door. The price was very good as well. I was extremely sattisfied with this choice !!! I will go for their appartments also next time and will not even bother with cheking the hotels !! even the self-chek-in is very convenient !!” Kairi, Tallinn |
