Great staff, very helpful and a great location
Helpful friendly staff
The kitchen area was poor and not what was expected
Great location, clean, great communication prior to arrival, excellent service from the staff. Definitely reccomend.
We stayed here with another couple. The room was warm (key in Iceland in winter!) and very practical. The balcony off the kitchen had a beautiful view over Reykjavik. The kitchen was well appointed, with sharp knives (always a telling feature). The check-in procedure was easy, friendly and full of good advice on what to do.
Note for sharing couples- the extra bed is not separated by a wall from the main living quarters. This wasn't really an issue for us.
Fantastic apartment in perfect location, surprisingly snug and warm in the cold weather !
Wifi could have been a bit faster, TV controls a bit fiddly.
great location and so good to have a kitchen as to eat out is very expensive. Expect to pay £40 plus a head for a very basic meal with 1 drink.
The weather changes very quickly so go for long enough to allow time in case bad weather stops you seeing everything you want too.
The apartment is a top floor apartment - no noise from above. The apartment is very spacious. It has a bedroom with a bathroom at one end then a Combined living / kitchen area, followed by 3 bedrooms and another toilet / bathroom. The location is right in the middle of everything. There is a supermarket just around the corner, as is the high street with its cafes and pubs (see dislikes for that one)
The staircase is quite steep getting up to the apartment. If you were older it might be difficult getting your luggage into the apartment. Friday and Saturday night only - noisy from 1am to 5am from the music of the nearby pub and people walking past. If you're a light sleeper this might be an issue.
Great, will come back again!
A bit noises
Amazing location. Good space and great material for organising trips around and out of the city.
Someone had been eating dried fish in the apartment before us. This left a bad smell.
Location is excellent Staff were extremely helpful Apartment was lovely - Room 303 Would highly recommend
WiFi was a little unpredictable but was okay most of the time Having to be picked up by tours from a different location was a bit confusing as there are two sites for the Luna Apartments
Fantastic location right in the centre, beautiful apartment, great value for money
Comfy warm close to main area will definitely recommend especially rm 401
Everything was outstanding, staff extremely helpful. Would definitely be staying again. Thanks Luna for a fab holiday.
They upgraded me to a 1 bedroom apartment so it was all very comfy.
Lugging 30kg of luggage up 2 stories is not nice for my back. Also, most tour companies only know their main address and I had to remind them again and again to come to the right apartment address (including flybus).
very helpful host
The manager was very kind to pick me and my father up due to his heart problem and heavy suitcase. It felt like he went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. We upgraded our room to a one bedroom as my dad could not climb stairs and it was the best choice ever! Been traveling for a good 5 months and this was our fav place. It looked a lil cave-like but in white, beds were comfortable it was an extremely beautiful apartment with an iPod dock, countless of tv channels and was a minute's walk to the main road of the city. Location was perfect even for my father!
Location, near centrum, but very quiet, supermarket very near, nice apartment
Nothing at all
Very quiet, spacious, had everything we needed, close to downtown and restaurants, English TV channels. Owner was very friendly and helpful.
Sulphur hot water smell
Location perfect. Quiet. No trouble parking.
Good location Nice to have a lounge
We were kept awake and woken up by noise from upstairs
The apartment was fabulously clean and functional, as well as perfectly situated to get to all of the major things in Reykjavik. The owner who met with us was very informative re: things to see/do, places to eat.
The water definitely smelled like sulphur and tasted quite a bit like it, too so we opted for bottled water...not sure if they maybe need a filter? The apartment on Amtmannstigur (sp?) is one block away from the main route to the clubs, so if you are a super light sleeper it might be a bit noisy for you.
Close to a good bakery . Close to town and main section of shopping and restaurants. People very helpful and friendly
Dark, noisy room-- very expensive
Location, location, location - just minutes from the centre Cleanliness and Spaciousness of apartment. English language satellite TV
very centrally located, nice in all details - like candles etc
Luna has the excellent location with just 5 mins walk to city center and the famous church. There's a bakery and a grocery store within 3 mins walk. Very convenient location. The staff is very responsive who answered a lot of questions, provided detail information/ suggestions for our stay in Iceland and helped us book the day tour that we needed. We were also offered upgraded room unexpectedly when we checked in with bigger space and good kichen facility to use. Overall, it is a quite pleasant stay in Luna.
