Quiet location, but only 5 minutes walk to busy downtown shopping and nightlife center. Our room was above the on site bar/restaurant and was little noisy on the friday night. |

Close to city center; parking infront of hotel but you have to be lucky to find a free space not any more the first class restaurant; staff a little nerveous and stressed; breakfast far below a 4 star hotel level |

The hotel was clean and friendly. Although the room was small it was adequate and comfortable. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice, and food/drinks were quickly replenished. The location of the hotel is ideal, it is in a quiet location but in easy reach of the centre and attractions. |

Very central location but in a quiet area. Very clean (sheets/towels changed daily). Breakfast inclusive (though only continental breakfast). Bedroom size OK for single room. Staff courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay (having heard horror stories about some places in Reykjavik) and the rates are reasonable. All pickups work for the day tours from this Hotel. Socket on trouser press had exposed live wires. Switch for bathroom hidden inside bathroom - took a while to find it (not usual to place switch in the bathroom)! Other then that it was fine. |

The hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet surrounding near the city center. My room was spacious with some atmosphere, albeit a bit outdated. The bed was really good and there were curtains to keep out daylight which is important in summer. Breakfast buffet was fresh and sufficient, I did not lack anything. Staff was very kind and helpful. I would book it again. |

The reception staff were pleasant and attentive. The location of the hotel is good - in a nice, quiet neighbourhood close to the heart of the city. The first room offered was below par and we had to ask to be moved to a slightly better room. In general, apart from the reception area a hotel with such aspirations lacks style and needs refurbishment. The breakfast was poor with very little choice and almost no service from the staff. This hotel may appeal to older generations but did not meet our expectations. |

Good location, very quiet but central. Good breakfast. Useful staff - the broken lamp and too hot blanket was replaced immediatly. Tee and cofee set in the room. Not exactly 4* - broken door of wardrobe, electric connectors only near floor and you need to set kettle on the floor under the table. I was here 6 nights and bed-clothes was not changed. |

Excellent location quiet square but very near centre of town. Rooms very clean and comfortable and reception staff helpful. Breakfasts also good quality Restaurant in the evening was expensive and rarely used by visitors or public while we were there but lots of good restaurants nearby. We used the restaurant bar on one occasion and very slow service |

A quiet, sophisticated place. How can a four star hotel forget to install any places to put things in the shower? There was no place to put soap, shampoo, etc. except by reaching out of the shower! |
