Building work in next door room went on until after 10am on Thursday night 22nd Jan, we were in room 105, thanks for that.
Great location. Staff were really helpful with booking tours and recommending restaurants. Pretty good value for money. Would definitely recommend for future travellers.
The staff are very nice and lovely.
Really impressed by the staff there. So helpful and friendly. Great location.
We stayed one night and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite as some work was going on in the hotel. The room was wonderfully clean and spacious with a sitting room like area upstairs. Very quiet room and comfy bed. Location for the town centre is great. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Within a short walk to the best parts of the capital. Very helpful and polite staff. A restaurant on-site.
Re-stocking the tea and coffee was hit and miss. The Wi-Fi was up and down often. The decor was a bit dated. You can hear noise in the hallway.
Lovely little hotel, just to the side of the liveliest bit of Rekyjavik, so only a few minutes from nightlife, without the noise. Super friendly and helpful staff, and the restaurant next door was great!
nothing at all!
Everything, great location,, great staff
Reception staff very attentive and organised restaurant booking/taxi at the push of a button for us. Also orgainsed airport transfer with no fuss. Location good. Five minute walk (if that) to main shopping area. Good vibe in Schnapps Bar/Restaurant and staff friendly.
Can't say we were very impresssed by this hotel. Sold as luxury, but sorry - quite basic. Upon arriving and expecting a junior suite, we were given keys to a very small, basically furnished room. To be fair, upon querying the room against what we had expected, we were given the accommodation initially sold. Fair play to the reception staff for dealing with this. The trouble with this hotel was that it felt claustrophobic. Where to escape other than the bedroom? Reception area tiny and no lounge. Perhaps it was the grey painted corridors that left one feeling imprisonned. Don't enjoy being negative, but we had stayed in other parts of Iceland prior to this that offered much better value for money. Considering breakfast not included in our stay and charged on a daily rate - sorry not good.
Been to Reykjavik several times and this is by far and away THE BEST hotel I've been to! The staff was friendly, kind and really went out of their way to ensure a quality experience. Both girls who worked at the front desk went way beyond what was necessary to help me find a good tour! Excellent!!
Location excellent only five minute walk to main shops, bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. You could arrange all your trips, taxis and other requests via reception. Room more than adequate and well cleaned daily.
No complaints at all.
Location, very central.
Location modern comfort Helpful staff friendly
It was a functional room that was good for a night. We were glad to move to our next hotel.
Poor wifi connection in room, musty smell and small shower area.
Location - just off the beaten track, but only just. Easy access to all of Reykjavik 101's myriad of bars, shops, restaurants and attractions. Furnishing - simple, but effective and modern. Staff - helpful and knowledgeable
Wifi a little in and out at times, but generally not enough to be an inconvenience. No other issues.
* sweet, honest and kind staff * good location in town * plenty of hot water
* Very small room, small bathroom * Wifi very slow, didn't even work one day * Had to ask twice for bedlinnen to be changed after 6 days. * Room service re. food, not good, staff just refered to take away from town. * would ague that 4 stars are one too many.
Location and staff were awesome
Breakfast was expensive
Great service - helpful and friendly Assistance with locating places in town and opening times
some stuff were friendly but few of them was terrible
Wifi signal was so weak and speed was so slow
Excellent restaurant, friendly staff, wonderful location.
Room was small with basic furnishings. First room assigned was claustrophobic. Second one was larger but had minimal creature comforts.
Location Clean Well kept Staff
-Very close to night venues -Friendly staff -Good price/quality ratio -Clean, comfortable room
-didn't offer ironing to me, and I could't do it myself so I ended up wearing wrinkled shirt
Location great, staff extremely helpful - particularly with tours. Beautiful resturant Snaps, next door which served amazing food which can all be put on the room to be paid at the end of your stay. Lovely cafe 'C is for Cookie' across the road which served beautiful cakes and snacks.
Rooms more basic than photographed and two single duvets instead of one on a double bed which was strange.
The location was very convenient, and the facilities (though not particularly large or modern) were quite clean and functional. The real highlight, though, was the friendly staff. Particularly Sigga at the reception desk, who happily offered to make all the necessary calls to rearrange our restaurant and sightseeing tour bookings around the ever-changing weather conditions and keep us up-to-date by phone.
The breakfast was fairly basic, as were the rooms and the hotel amenities. Not bad in any way - just somewhat underwhelming for 4-star expectations.
Location excellent, 2 mins walk to the main shopping streets. Snaps restaraunt in hotel is excellent but very popular so book ahead if you want evening meal.
Room was small but had everything needed for stay.
