The studio is very big, so that you have a lot of space.
We booked a studio apartment, but there is no kitchen, only a micro-wave, so that you cannot cook. An apartment is a place where you can live, that is, you can cook, so this is not a real apartment. I complained at this at the reception. It shouldn't be announced as an apartment, that's tricky.
Location, spacious and clean appartment, equipment, breakfast.
No lift (in the building with appartments opposite to hotel).
breakfast could be better
Stayed in Annex building. Room is big but old. External of building is run down. I thought is an abundant building.
good size room; very comfortable; good location for snaefellness; good breakfast; staff generally helpful
we'd booked as it said room with kitchen (we're veggies so wanted to self cater) but in fact the room had a microwave and toaster only - and no bowls etc to use in the microwave so it was hard to cook. The hotel restaurant was only open for pre-booked groups both nights we were there so we (and everyone else!) went to the pizza/restaurant opposite
The room was very large. It had a nice sofa for TV viewing, but only 2 stations. Very good restaurant across the street, only one in town and a bit pricey. Breakfast was very good. Staff made sure we had fresh towels as needed.
Room was slightly dated. Carpet a bit dingy. Only a small microwave, no stove. Arrived on Saturday at 5:15 pm and the market closed at 5 and was closed on Sunday.
Breakfast, good position to travel around the area.
We booked an apartment having in mind to cook our dinner at home. The so-called kitchen actually wasn't a kitchen: no hob, no pots or pans, only a microwaves oven. We' ve been disappointed.
We stayed in the building opposite the hotel. First it scared us, as it looked like an old, rough student hostel from Eastern Europe from the 1970s, but the room was OK and clean in the end. There is a kettle and fridge in the kitchen unit.
The mattress on the bed is way too soft and the kitchen unit could be better equipped with more items. Breakfast was quite poor compared to other hotels we stayed in Iceland.
Central location. Well, most things are central because the town is so small. Staff was accommodating. Had a nice view of mountains and waterfall from our room.
spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good location (harbour view), great value for money
The room was very large
We were lodged out of the main building without notice. No coffee or tea facilty in the room. Only one sentence from the staff: how do you pay?
The breakfast and a very kind owner.
Rooms are very basic and a bit old fashioned.
Huge room with kitchen, very good breakfast.
Tiny washbasin in such a huge room.
Good location Beautiful landscape nearby Decent value Good breakfast
Not many food options in the area
Room very large
Price too high also for iceland... Kitchen without possibility to cook...
Spacious rooms and toilet. Kitchen was there, but without cooker. Good breakfast.
Cups weren't clean enough with tea stains.
Location Comfort Bakery opposite the hotel.
We stayed for 3 nights and the room was not cleaned, only the beds made. Restaurant was closed all the time. There is only one restaurant open in the town next to the hotel. Lacking a little in customer welcoming.
We stayed here when our camping plans had been interrupted by a serious storm. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were spacious enough to unload backpacks and get reorganized.. It was also clean, and the breakfast (included in price) was most appreciated.
room was large and comfortable. breakfast was wonderful. huge choice and all good, cafe was fine too.
crossing the street to reach some of the facilities. chef was too busy to agree to cook a cod that I wanted to catch. when booking I had been told that could happen. restaurant menu very limited & they were out of some items.
We stayed in the building across the street from the hotel which looks something like an old strip mall. Our room was really great though; clean, modern, and spacious, overlooking the harbor. Staff was fantastic. Great restaurant next door.
Olafsvik itself is a little rough around the edges, but it's a great jumping off point for exploring the area around Snefellsness.
Clean and good location on the Snefellsnes peninsula. OK breakfast.
Quite unfriendly staff in the reception. A bit dull.
Stayed in the main hotel building, room was very basic but wifi worked well. Very good breakfast buffet. Good location to drive around Snaefellsnes.
Hotel restaurant not open in the evening, closeby only one quite busy restaurant (had to wait 50 min for a table for two, good food though) and one grill. The room price was a bit high.
Nice personnel, breakfast and facilities.
A note with towels on the floor would make guests and personell stick to the changing rule
