We loved our stay at Hotel Ork.We spent the first three nights of an amazing trip to Iceland here.The food was definitely the best we had out of our seven days..it is delicious.The geothermally heated spa pools are amazing to relax in after a day of walking and the advice and friendliness of the staff was exceptional...they even wake you if the Northern Lights appear(which they did for our stay!)The location is perfect to tour the wonders of South West Iceland and the hotel cannot be beaten for value.Excellent!Thank you so much.

Nice hotel with lots of facilities. We had an excellent meal in the hotel which was slightly expensive but worth it for the food. We went for a walk near the hotel and saw the northern lights, which was a real highlight. we could also see them from our room which had a view overlooking the mountains.

The only thing that we didn't like about the hotel was the bright pink light that directed straight into our bedroom. It ruined the night time view. We stayed here in February and the lights were not there then!

The staff were really great very helpfull and obliging in every way.

Thermal heated pool and hot tubs. Lots of free parking, accross the street from the mall, post office and close to the liquor store. Front desk staff were helpful and only too happy to supply us with ice from the restaurant!

Breakfast wasn't great. The room's decor (orange) and lighting fixtures are a bit dated.

THE ventilation in THE hotel is Very bad, like in almost all hotels in Icelandair. How should Indry my vlotjes of there is no ventilation? Maintenance of THE building outsider is poor.

Good, but somewhat dated facility. Breakfast has good selection by Icelandic standards. The location in a small community having an active geo-thermal field lying in its midst makes for an experience.

Entire facility could stand a bit of refreshing. TV channel choice isn't great but one shouldn't be spending vast amounts of time watching tv in Iceland.

The hot tubs were nice and so was the restaurant. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Good base for visiting Gulfoss, Thingvellir and Geysir.

We loved the town Hveragerdi. There are paths up the mountain, Ingolfsfjall, and a fantastic Olympic size swimming pool--both in an easy walking distance.

The guys/men at the front desk were OK. The waiter who served us dinner was good. The breakfast staff was aloof and made no effort to make you feel as if they wanted you there. Our meal, the fish was great. The lamb just so so.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. After having stayed at guesthouses all over Iceland I really could use some relaxation, happily I booked this hotel. Very comfortable, great facilities and very kind and helfull staff (as usual in Iceland). Restaurant is excellent, and the staff there really know how to "do it the right way". Location is good for visiting Geysir and Gullfoss, and for a first or better yet last night on the island. And all this for a very descent price. Definitely highly recommended.

It was clean and comfortable but not as elegant as the description online. Our room had a bathtub which we liked; food was delicious and well-prepared in the restaurant; breakfast was extensive even without hot foods. It was was a good location for day trips in southern Iceland.

The pool and one hot tub were closed for renovation. These were two of the reasons that we chose this hotel but one hot tub was available.

Nice place to stay. Good vakue. Spent time talking with Asgeir Karesson (desk agent), He gare us lots of information about local area and tips for touring the next day, a very enjoyable stay. Very good breakfast.

When we got to our room it was very warm (even thouth it was the end of April. Very difficult to get the room cool.

This Hotel is a jewel! Chsen for its location for country sightseeing it features swimming pool, par 3 golf course, gourmet restaurant and a very fine stall. It is also a tremendous bargain.

The room was good, not exceptional. We ate in the hotel restaurant and had a very tasty meal. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. Staff was very helpful, congenial. Enjoyed the pool/hot baths.

Great location and facilities that would be otherwise difficult to find in a small place like this.

Rooms were small considering there is unlimited space there. Restaurant facilities not reliable.

l 'hotel est équipé d'un véritable parc aquatique : piscine géante, sauna, et 2 jacuzzis ! Et 2 tobogans ! Idéal pour les enfants ! la proximité avec les hot spots de la ville la gentillesse du personnel et le restaurant (on se croirait dans un 4 étoiles !)

il manque une bouilloire dans les chambres hotel assez vétuste. la tuyauterie de la baignoire était cassée. propreté des piscines à revoir

Хороший отель в конце пути по Золотому кольцу или из Вика и Ледовой лагуны. Нам очень понравился большой термальный бассейн с 2 горками, работает до 21 часа. Качественные, чистые, уютные номера. Хороший завтрак. В городке есть геотермальный парк, термальные источники и оранжереи. Рядом несколько магазинов, кафе и пиццерия. Зайдите заранее на сайт отеля, посмотрите программу. Мы были не в курсе и соответственно, не в форме, а в отеле все новогодние праздники до 6 января по вечерам танцевальные вечера, народ в вечерних платьях и при бабочках )))

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, besonders in den Golden Circle sowie ggf, nach Reykjavik. Das Hotel wird bzw. wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes von diversen Jugendgruppen besucht und bewohnt, die aber ausdrücklich keinesfalls störten und sich sehr diszipliniert verhielten. Zimmer sind sauber mit schöner Aussicht in die Umgebung. Hotelpreise ok. Service, besonders im Restaurant, sehr gut. Speisen frisch und sehr schmackhaft. Preise landes - bzw. ortstypisch ok

Zimmer werden leider spät aufbereitet. An einem Tag haben wir (15:00Uhr!) verzichtet.

Das Hotel ist günstig gelegen direkt an der Ringstrasse, vor allem günstig gelegen für eine Tagestour in Richtung Stori-Geysir, Gullfoss und Thingvellir und nachher Richtung Reykjavik.

Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist äusserst schlecht. Das Hotel ist wahrscheinlich in den 80ern gebaut und seither nicht mehr renoviert worden. Die Zimmer sind zwar standardmässig ausgerüstet, aber in unserem Zimmer hatte es bspw. Mehrere Löcher in der Toilettentür, sowie war die Bettwäsche fleckig. Beim Eintreten ins Hotel tritt einem ein seltsam müffelnder Geruch in die Nase. Nie wieder!
