Breakfast good if crowded. Table mats of some kind would have been good. Expensive, dark room, old TV-set with only one channel working, only three hangers, the madrass so soft that the sheet slipped off, tiny shower and no bath mat. I know that it was only a standard room but one would think that standard rooms had to be of some standard! |

It was very busy when we checked in and I think the staff did a great job in satisfying all the guests needs. They were polite and helpful. I am working in a 246 room hotel at a reception myself and I know how difficult the job can be sometimes. The happy hour for the beer for 500 isk was a good thing! Free internet access was great. Tv and Minibar did not work. We moved rooms. It was ok than. The ambience of the breakfast room was very poor. Some sets or a table cloth on the tables would already create a much more comfortable atmosphere. |

Brilliant location on a central square, but not too noisy, and right next to information centre! Staff are really friendly and efficient and when we wanted to stay an extra night they were honest and openly told us it would be cheaper to book online than via their desk. Breakfast is fantastic. This hotel is excellent value for money. |

good service, nice breakfast buffet. The floor in the bathroom was very cold and the was a cold draft from the thing in the wall you press when you have used the toilet room #448. It would be nice with WI-FI so guests could get access to the internet for free on ex iphones. |

The staff were excellent - always willing to help. The room was not large but superbly equipped (TV,internet, fridge and kettle) and well designed. It would put a 4* to shame. The full breakfast was plentiful and comprehensive - one of the better ones in Iceland. Possible noise problem from revellers in the plaza outside on Friday/Saturday nights |

This hotel is perfectly placed, tourist office next door and a bakery and supermarket plus all choice of restaurants just a few steps away. The hotel breakfast was very nice, buffet style and good choice hot and cold. We thought this hotel offered excellent value for money and the location in the city centre was just what we wanted. The only disappointment was the view from our room, but then we were out all the time and only used the room to sleep in with the curtains closed we could not have cared about the view. |

Very good location. It was walking distance to everything in the city I wanted to visit. Very clean. Fresh towels and sheets provided everyday. Nice view from my room. Modern with a new bathroom and great shower. Breakfast was basic but very fresh. I booked a double room but it was more like a twin room with two single beds pushed together. Also, I found the night porter pretty unhelpful. |
