The reception offers an aurora borealis wake-up service. Very friendly and helpfull staff. The restaurant offers an excellent food menu with a very good selection of wines from all over the world. Supper is a must do there! Recently the bar was moved from upstairs to downstairs which, more practical as it may be, makes the upstairs area lose a lot of its charm. A second hot tub on the (extended) western side of the hotel should be considered to accomodate the increased number of rooms on that side of the hotel. |

The outdoor jacuzzi was very luxurious and the bedroom had a beautiful view of the river. The restaurant for dinner was great and the breakfast very satisfying. |

On arrival the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we had our room upgraded as they found out we were celebrtaing our engagment, and the manager spent 15mins with us going through a local map of the area, and writting all of the attractions and places of interest onto it for us. The room, food and surroundings were all wonderful and I would definitly go back. there was nothing we did not like about the hotel but I would like to give people a word of warning about going near the edge of the ice flows at the edge of the glaciers. As the volcanic sand around the small pools can conceal thin ice, which broke away while we were standing on it. There are no signs of warning so be very careful. |

comfortable and friendly, but expensive for what it was did not like being rushed throught the meal - we didn't have time to finish our cocktails before the starter arrived, and then that was whisked immediately away in order to bring the main course. The point of having a nice meal in a spot like that is to be able to have the time to enjoy it! Limited menu - if you don't like game/fish then you have had it! |

The staff were accomodating and provided service that created an ambience of absolute luxury in a very personalised way. The environment and facilities were also absolutely luscious. |

Wat een fijn hotel, de rust die het uitstraalt, de geur ( door het hout ruikt het heerlijk naar sauna ) en het aardige behulpzame personeel.We hadden een hele fijne kamer, met bubbelbad in de badkamer en ook buiten voor onze patio. Echt alles voelde goed.Na een dagje natuur voelde het als thuis komen.Het was ons de, toch wel dure prijs, zeker waard! |
