Alfred's Apartments  

The beds were a joy to sleep in, and the room itself was lovely.

Exceptionally friendly welcome from Alfred. Brilliant location just off the main street. I have no criticisms - it was fantastic and I'd stay there again in future.

Alfred was very hospitable & accommodating. Staying here we felt immediately at home. We enjoyed the kitchenette & tv for a relaxing night in & the location was perfect for weekend nights out on the town. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Great location, within walking distance of everything. Hallidor, the resident manager was amazing. Friendly and informative, anything we needed he provided if possible. I had a studio and it was perfect for me and my fiance'. Nice and cozy, the kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware and utensils, microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. The grocery store, Bonus, is literally at the corner and across the street. Can't wait to go back next year!!

right in the center of the city. all important shops / tourist information centers right around the corner. very nice and helpful host. would definitly book again.

Great central location, comfortable beds, self catering facilities, available washer and dryer. Haldor was an excellent host. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked an additional night at the end of our trip.

Very hospitable host, couldn't be more helpful. The location is perfect for Reykjavik, literally next to the main high street (but we were never bothered by external noise from clubs and such) and the apartment is a pick up point for excursions, so you don't have to worry about booking your coaches to all the things you have to see further afield.

Not the fault of the owner, but noise.. Unfortunately you can't choose your neighbours in these apartments! We lucked out three days out of six that we stayed, but being on the second floor we had noise coming from above and beside the other three days. I bought earplugs.

The appartment was ideally located and perfect to come back to after a hard days sightseeing. Although centrally located it was very quiet Liked the intecom which put you through to the local trip companies, if there were any problems

It was so well insulated that we had to get up in the night and open windows, even though we had turned the heating right down

Excellet location in the centre of town. Also provides you with EVERYTHING you could need for a self catering stay. Superb value for money!

The welcoming was very nice, we got useful tips about everything we needed! Locations was excellent! Close to everything, including a tourist information shop where we got all our day trips.

We didn't get a double bed as expected but two single beds together, which was not very comfortable.. The bathroom was not very well cleaned, and we found hair on the bed sheets.. Apart from this everything was great!

Had everything we needed for our stay. Halldor was very helpful. Location was perfect.

Wifi signal was quite weak in our apartment and the Internet access was a bit slow but apart from that nothing

Location, right in centre of town. Spotless apartment, with all modcons, fully stocked kitchen, and huge tv with tons of channels

The location is ideal just off the main street. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the beds very extremely comfortable.

My friend and I stayed there for 7 nights, we had a fully-equpped kitchen with coffee, tea provided. Perfect location, hospitable host, very convenient to supermarket and booking tours. It is great! Really enjoyed our time there, highly recommended.

Great central location but quiet, high spec and modern apartment with all facilities needed for a short city break. Very comfortable beds, everything worked, very clean. The apartments have no reception but on arrival you simply ring a doorbell and the owner comes round to let you in - very efficient and friendly.

Halldor's graciousness and consideration keeping it quiet when guests were sleeping at odd hours. comfort of the beds!!! I slept better than EVER!! LOCATION!!! Near to everything - bus, Tourist Info center, grocery store Very quiet neighborhood but near everything.

I can't think of a thing

It was a great space that allowed us to save a lot of money because we could cook our meals. The location was great (near to everything), and the manager let us check in early, which was awesome, after a red-eye flight. He also took the time to welcome us and explain some of the city info/tips/maps. Great place!

Overall it was great. The only thing that was negative was some of the dishes were dirty and had to be washed before we used them- really not a big deal though!
