The staff was super helpful and informative. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was a big plus, especially for the price. The beds were slightly hard to sleep on considering they were two twins pushed together, but they blankets were comfortable.
An actual full size bed for two people would be really nice.
Very clean and well kept. Beds were fine, room comfortable and big. Front desk staff booked shuttle back to airport and were helpful
For money can get guesthouses with private baths for more privacy.
Everything about it really. Twin room with shared bathroom: good standards all round and the kitchen area near us was always tidy. Excellent!!!
Maybe more coat hangers in the wardrobe but that's hardly a deal breaker!!!
Staff were incredibly helpful, especially when a mistake had been made with my airport transfer. The lovely guy working made sure I got there in time. Other good facilities like kitchen, washing machine and dryer, bathroom in the dorm. Really comfortable overall as far as hostels go. Good security too.
Shared bathroom was ensuite. Staff helped with booking cheapest and best excursions. Computer in lobby. Comfy bed, night light. Great location, near nice cafes, not too far to main shopping area and 24/7, Bonus a bit further up. Saga Musuem not too far, nor church.
Had to walk to kitchen which was outside. Wifi didn't workin kitchen. Food was stolen, but that is more to do with the guets than the hostel.
Good location between harbour restaurants and Laugavegur Room was clean and comfortable Value for money
Wifi wasn't working for one night of our two night stay Kitchen is in a seperate building, so you can't just wander from your room in your pyjamas Compared to Kex, the lobby is very dull
Loved the green features of the hostel, the beds, the view from the room, all of the awesome tours and activities available. The staff were so kind and welcoming, they even gave us gifts from the "yule lad" on Dec 22nd. I would highly recommend this hostel again!
The free wifi didn't work so well on the 4th floor but otherwise was a great feature. I felt a bit nervous that my luggage was left in the main lobby in an unsecure area but the staff were nearby.
Location, breakfast and bedroom facilities are great. Will definitely comeback.
Fantastic location, lovely and helpful staff, clean and tidy room.
The staff were absolutely lovely. You can book tours from the reception desk and the tour buses come pick you up from the hostel door. Very cosy atmosphere.
The small ladder to the top bed was a little too hard to climb up, but if you get a bottom bed then it'll be perfect.
it is a top class facility
Clean, comfortable, nice staff, and centrally located. I recommend to all!
Nothing everything was great!
-Free wifi is essential!! -Great location (although not exactly in the main downtown area, about a five minute walk) -24-hour reception desk was really useful because I arrived and left at weird hours. Plus without a local phone, it is comforting to know that there is someone there you can contact at all times. -Friendly staff, all young people who spoke English very well and were very helpful. -Clean room! I stayed in the 10-person female-only dorm room and was surprised by how clean and comfortable everything was! -The eco-conscious messages and practices are always a nice bonus at an affordable place.
-The downstairs breakfast is a bit pricey for what it consists of. But you can easily walk to a nearby bakery, or just get a coffee and pastry on-site that is way more affordable. -No on-site parking: although that is pretty standard in European downtown areas, having to decipher Icelandic street parking signs with my rental car was a bit daunting.
separating the waste, use of recycled or ecological sanitary articles, private bathrooms in the dorms, quite neighborhood, nice helpful staff, room access via chip cards, one big lower bed per doorm in one of the bunk beds, private baskets, nice lounge, cleanliness
no bar, kitchen access only if you leave the main building and go only 20 metrs to another small building in the backyard, lounge without a bar, breakfast only with donuts and bagels, don't expect a big choice or healthy dark bread... better take your own breakfast or go in a cafe nearby.. far too expensive for the poor offer ..
Wifi Location 24-hrs receiption
Close to centre, but not so close that you are disturbed by the street noise. Cheap. Great staff.
Expensive breakfast. You have to go outside to get to the kitchen and to the reception from some of the rooms.
The bed is comfortable and the room is quite spacious. The wifi is free, the reception works 24h and there is a kitchen where you can prepare your own food. The staffs are friendly and the location is perfect! Very central!
Location. Free wifi. 24 hr front desk with very attentive staff. Cleanness. Free kitchen, though I did not use. Great value for money. 1st choice for solo traveller.
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, reasonable price! Will definitely return the next time I visit Iceland! Thanks for such a great experience!
no elevator, we stayed at 4/F with heavy luggage. kitchen is a bit too small.
the location, friendly, helpful & very knowledgable staff.
Wifi was not reliable.
well located just next to the port where there are lots of nice litte restaurants and bars. guesthouse is functional and nicely docorated.
We felt very safe and secure here. Everything was easy to access. We used the kitchen facilities for breakfast and making a lunch to take away. The staff was very helpful and courteous! We needed to access the Canadian Consulate and bonus it was only a block away!
We Checked out the breakfast offered and thought it was expensive. The kitchen needs some decent sized coffee mugs, more soup bowls, and dish clothes.
Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful with regards to tours. Nice, big rooms.
Noise level at night time from other guests. Wifi did not work in my room.
