All good, clean and nicely furnished, staff is helpful and polite, pretty close to the centre, easy to park nearby.
nice clean rooms very spacious and shared bathroom was only shared with 3 other rooms and was spotlessly clean. Great location for a night in the city where the other accommodation is very expensive.
the kitchen wasn't fully operational and the room did smell of stale cigarette smoke but the room was spotless apart from that, would recommend.
Cheapness wi-fi connection warm inside room refrigerater Entirely good
When the reception closes is 4 pm. Too early.
bed is comfortable(I live in 16people/room),kitchen is big and great, had a big refrigerator, clean, people in there.
Drain(girls bathroom in basement floor) is not well, need to improved. The location is far away form central city(30-40min by walk).
A room to visit and meet folks would be nice.
Staff were helpful when there
Staff only available between 8am & 4pm
The receptionist called Hjalti was very sweet!
They should fix the WiFi it's working very bad.
hostel really near to city center and main road to airport. good bed, bedlines and duvets. provides towel. internet was good.
room to small, with a little space between bunk bed and double bed. bathroom was not clean enough. kitchen was not ready to use.
Breakfast sas ok, but expensieve for what iT was.
No. place to sit excepept for a plastic tent with wet flor outside. Not enough place to just put your bag on the ground next to your bed in the dormitry.kfast
Location close to downtown
If you call yourself "hostel" people expect to fibd a kitchen facility
The good suggestions from the staffs so that I can plan my trip well"....
The room is ok but the floor is not that clean.....
the breakfast was absolutely poor and the level of cleanness was not the best one
Great breakfast room and facility. Staff is well informed. My short stay required bookings for events to be made on the spot. The staff made all of my requests for rental and travel complete. All of the stress of a great 3 day event filled vacation was managed so well. Thanks so much for being so helpful!
Convenient location - walkable to many points of interest, shopping and center city. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good in a cheerful, sunny dining area. Everything was clean. A sink in my room was very helpful, as was the electric tea kettle. The use of a computer to check emails was greatly appreciated!
I very cold the first night (I arrived at 2am) as the bed covering was not sufficient. I asked for an additional blanket the next morning and was given a much heavier bed covering. That really helped; but the heat never came on in my room although it was on in the bathroom and in the shops downtown. The heating system needs to be checked or its operation should be explained to the guest.
Good facilities, very safe and friendly staff.
Location was good. Wi-fi worked really well. Parking was free and easy.
The bathroom was not very clean.
The wait staff (from new York) had caught a rat in the kitchen area. She called her brother in law to kill it. Not only was I subjected to its blood curtling screams, I was made to believe that this was normal. I know its not, and that Icelanders have higher standards than that! On top of this, even after my complaint the next day they were still serving food!!!!!!
location is ok, but thats it
This is a too-expensive hostel, with poor breakfast and tiny, tiny rooms.
Room & linen were clean.
Bathroom really needs an overhaul
Ingunn in the reception was very helpful and nice. The rooms were fine as well. Flybus and tours worked very well.
Cats in the kitchen. The breakfast was OK but I lost my apetite when I saw cats there. Stayed in room 1 in which you could hear the breakfast lady and guests very loud from early morning. The lack of a kitchen or inside area you could sit. The heated tent was not warm or dry due to all the rain.
When we arrived, the girl at the reception told us breakfast was from 7.00 AM. We had a bus at 7.30 at the bus station and obviously we should leave BEFORE 7.00, so we asked if it was possible to do something about this, since breakfast was included in our room rate. The girl simply and literally replied: "Then I guess you won't have any breakfast". She didn't even try to say something nice like "I'm sorry but I can't do anything". Besides, for € 100,00 per night, they could have made two customers pleased and content with the smallest effort: several B&Bs and hostels we've visited have offered a packed breakfast to go or an early admission in the breakfast room if we had to leave early. This time all we got was plain rudeness and not even the slightest attempt to be nice to two customers. We were extremely offended and disappointed. Never returning here, we're going to tell everyone to avoid this place. Not worth your time and money.
My last night in Iceland and I got the softest, most comfortable bed I had slept on my whole trip. Absolutely amazing.
I loved the position, it's near to the main church and to the main shopping and restaurant street. The staff was helpfull. You can walk around the city without problem.
The parking area it's in the street around, it's free parking bit when we arrived it's crowded so it isn't so easy to park.
- Value - Very helpful & polite staff - Clean (although if you looked for dust on top of wardrobe, you could find it) - Decent breakfast - Location is great for Reykjavik
- I could be picky about cheap furnishings, but for the price it was as expected and perfectly adequate.
