Quadruple room was spacious and comfortable, with sink (including soap and mirror) which avoided using bathroom too long. Overall facilities were clean and position is perfect, 15 mins walk to the city centre, absolutely doable even with January temperature!
Shower needs some clean out as water was flowing down very slowly. A part from this all was good, no complaints!
Bring flip flopsfor the shared showers. Other than that, great safe value deal! 10 min walk from main streets.
Noisy heating pipes and refrigerant
Hostel village had a nice reception area and the rooms were fantastic for the low price. Loads of storage and a fridge. WiFi was great, but dropped a few times.
However, the advertised kitchen was nonexistent. There was an oven and some cupboards. The cupboards had no handles to open them, not that there was anything inside anyway. The worst part was the sink - it was out of order. So basically, there was no kitchen! We tried to go upstairs but it was exactly the same. We had to go to a camping shop to buy sporks to eat pot noodle for breakfast. We then had to keep the pot and clean it in the bathroom so we could eat cereal from it the next morning. False economy staying here because you will have to eat out all the time. Perhaps it has been fixed now though.
The location was great, very central. The Receptionist was very friendly and gave us lots of advice! Our compliments to him!
Room was warm. Shower was clean Easy to find Walkable to shopping, bars and eateries.
No towel in room Fridge was noisy so unplugged it. Ice on steps dangerous
The location is near to many tourist attractions. We had a great stay anf the staff are really good and helpful.
Location, Access to tourist sites, Near Roadhouse restaurant - AMAZING, clean, comfortable beds
Water on floors, cleaning person coming in early
- very good location; 10 minutes walk from the famous church in the city - very friendly staff - very warm room (it was freezing outside) - comfy bed - clean room
Location is awesome, pick ups and drop offs from tours was also excellent.
Bathroom could do with an update.
Location and helpful staff at front desk
we were in a white house down the street and the kitchen was messy with everyones food donations. Put the food donations in different baskets like extra tea and coffee, extra pasta, extra jams and spreads etc. It is nice people leave things for others but it was a mess of mixed up things
The french guy who did our meet and greet was excellent and very friendly and helpful The communal Areas where basic but good
The fact that another memebr of staff thought it was cool to rifle through and take our things and that their was no channel of redress for that behaviour.
close to the center you can arrive late
the room was 11 m2 instead of 15 m2 the staff is not comunicative and the hostel description does not mention the kitchen so we were not aware that it was available
The room was clean and warm, the location was good. The shared bathroom was clean as well. Staff at reception were very helpful.
The room was small and there was no cupboard in our room. The worst case was they didn't provide hairdryer with free of charge and the wifi signal was weak sometimes.
Nice large kitchen area
The other guests did not clean the dishes very well, so there was a lot of dirty cutlery and plates - staff here should monitor this. Rooms are a bit small, but it's pretty cheap so that's expected.
The WiFi is terrible. The ice and snow on the outside stairs is so dangerous
Everything is perfect, center in near, Hallgrímskirkja is seen from the road :) clean place, friendly personell
Please, correct wifi access, in the last houses it was lost often
Good location, value for money, would recommend to other travellers on a budget
No microwave when we were told there was, smell of the bathroom, 2single beds pushed together when I had sent email asking for double bed
It's perfect for me. Room is warm clean and comfortable. 15 minutes walk from the main church and the staff are so nice…I enjoy my stay of four nights here
Hello, I stayed in an individual room, I think it worthed the price which was good, even I got the cheapest one I have to say It was very nice, and you have your own desk with lamp, warm bed linen, bed lamp, a small radio, towels, kettle with a cup, tea and coffee, also all the rooms are provided with a small fridge so you can keep your food fresh there. I had a very peaceful time the nights I spent in my room, so if you plan to do your trip with friends , in couple, alone or with family is a very good and comfortable option without have to waist a lot of money. The staff is not the most friendly but they are very kind and do their best to give you the best service during your stay, also they can give you little information about some interesting spots around the city you can go explore, and can help you booking tours since your hostel if you ask them. The hostel is about 10 minutes walking from the center main street and also very near to the main bus station, which for me was perfect because I could look around a little bit more around the city, so the location is good. To meet new people of course is up to you but also is at hand, and sometimes you can coincide with the other hosted in your trips in the country. I had a very nice time!
.The breakfast buffet price is in the average, and is good and fresh, but for the price it can offer a little more variety I guess.
Excellent price, position and comfort, friendly staff
WiFi not really working
location nice rooms good beds good breakfast
poor condition of bathrooms dirty bathrooms out of order kitchen facilities
The room was very lovely, in a quiet location in central Reykjavik. The hosts were very nice and helpful and the room was excellent value for money. Will visit again.
We had a fine stay at the hostel. The location and check-in ('late' -> after 4PM) did go well
The bathroom in the hall was closed at night without notice (another one was opened); bathrooms not perfectly clean (probably becuase they're shared), shower didn't have a very constand temperature
Good valie for money!!close to city center. very nice stuff.
Really noisy bed when moving!!!
