Reykjavik Cosy Guesthouse  

It's a great little hostel, clean, quiet, central, with friendly and helpful stuff. No Internet access. Definitely recommended

Location. Free Internet. No breakfast, however there are two kitchens for self-catering guests.

The Guesthouse has no reception desk. It is not well known in town with the consequence that the Flybus+ pick up service is not available from this guesthouse. The name "Cosy" does not appear anywhere at the entrance. The room (especially the sofa) and the bathrooms were not very clean. The furniture in the room was cheap and worn. Even the cheapest Ikea furniture looks a lot better. Not every room seems to have a desk. The bathroom was poorly maintained (one of the showers in the basement had a huge leak).

The Cosy is very clean and comfortable. There are an ample number of bathrooms even through they are shared. The kitchen and eating area are easy to use. The Cosy is in a quiet, attractive area but is only a short walk to the city center. A few blocks away are a grocery store and an excellent family restaurant ( fast food and fish). The swimming pool and a lovely coastal walking path are only a few minutes walk from the Cosy. Great value for the money.

The supermarket 24/7 is nearby.

The curtains are essential during summer months, otherwise it is hard to sleep.

The staff were right there to greet as I arrived. They were very helpful in showing me all of the amenities of the guesthouse and shared info on places in town and directions. The rooms were comfortable and warm. The kitchen was very well equipped for making meals. I loved this place!

It's a great little place, everything you need. The kitchen and wireless internet made it feel just like home. Owners were generous, friendly and helpful. It's a perfect distance from all the main spots: harbor, shopping, restaurants, bus station, etc... I felt very at home there and really enjoyed my visit.

Situation, limit of commercial area and close to downtown. Good facilities for international airport.

Location could be better.

Nice location, very clean and cosy. It has two kitchens and even one with microwave in the basement. They even let us do the laundry without any cost. Highly recomended.

It is an actual home, so showers are shared (but clean) and this can lead to some waiting time...

Das Gasthaus liegt zentral. Es gibt Internet im Haus. Wer kochen will, kann das in den 2 Küchen machen.

Nicht sehr sauber. Mein Zimmer sah ziemlich deprimierend aus. Alte, abgenutzte Möbel überall und hässliche Teppiche. Dazu noch ein internes Fenster zum Treppenhaus. Komfort sieht anders aus. Last but not least die Wände sind dünn.

Hyvä majapaikka omatoimiseen lomaan Reykjavikissa. Hyvät keittiötilat, jos haluaa itse valmistaa jotain ruokaa. Ydinkeskustaan 5 min kävelymatka, lähin supermarket (auki 24 h) n. 400 m päässä.

Suurimmat retkenjärjestäjät (esim. Flybus takaisin lentokentälle) eivät nouda tältä hotellilta, mutta pienemmät esim. GTI kyllä hakee oven edestä.
