2 adjacent bars (less then 20' away) across a narrow street below hotel windows (that DO NOT keep out noise) Allow drunk smokers to booze it up outside on sidewalk ALL NIGHT/ EVERYWEEKEND
liked the location friendly & informative staff recommend fly-bus, pretty much on time and quite satisfactory
floors /bathrooms needed to be cleaned on a daily basis, but were not. noise from bars/ restaurants across the street, all hours.
The location and staff were exceptional. The facility was nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked.
We liked everything. We had a need for a washer and they did not have one, but just had to walk a block to find one.
The best location in the heart of Reykjavik 101. Close to shopping, museums and other venues. Also no more then a 15 minute walk to some breathtaking mountain views off the harbour.
It is next to a bar with patio in which the patrons were quite loud all night. I had some issues sleeping because of it.
Excellent Location Comfortable beds Good facilities
Stairs No washing machine Toilet in bathroom, when someone showering no access to toilet
Rooms were lovely and spacious Bathroom huge with great tub! Staff were nice and helpful. Went beyond the call of duty hot tub was great Great location
Close proximity to attractions. The apartment was well set up with good facilities for self catering.
The rubber underlay on the bed made it too hot for a comfortable sleep. The restaurant below the room was very noisy till late at night and this also made for an restless night.
Best of our entire trip.
Everything about it. The apartment was spacious, kitchen outstandingly equipped! I wish we had more time to enjoy the facilities! next time!
That we can check inn before 2 o'clock afther the long flight from Toronto.
room had very big windows and modern design
bathroom was very small and no shower but bath tube
The wifi in the building was fast and always worked it was also always accessible from our room. The hotel's location was very central to most of the attractions in Reykjavik. We loved the old retro elevator as we do not often see those anymore.
The rooms did not look anything like the photos that are displayed on the website. It's impossible for any room in the building to have a view......false advertising. The rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi has absolutely no view and was not on the ROOF!! The rooms were never cleaned, the only changed towels every day. The staff at the reception are not friendly and seems to be more interested in watching movies on their desktop than help guests. We have been traveling in Europe for 5 weeks and paid a lot less for 4* accommodation.
Was close to the main bars and restaurants and easy to access the main sites of Rekyavik.
If you want a good nights sleep at the weekend it was quite noisy with being so close to the pubs and bars.
Location was excellent, plenty of places to park on the street (not too expensive), room was nice and warm and the kitchen was sufficient for a 2-night stay. If you are looking for a central location and are here to party then you'll like it here. There are plenty of places to eat and it's a good place to explore the nearby attractions.
The view was not great Room was a bit dusty by the TV TV reception was not great Bathroom had a funky smell from the waste hole and the 'wet' room was not the best idea The shower head was mouldy Can be really noisy from the nearby bars
Very centric, located in the main street with all restaurants, shops and night life....
... because of night life it can be quite noisy if you are looking for a quiet/relaxing stay.
Perfect location near main street. Large, bright, comfortable room, nice view. Very kind Staff.
That's not so easy to reach this place by car. Private bathroom out of the room.
The room was very clean, and the bathroom was inside the room. Also, you couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel also has staff at at the front desk 24/7.
I usually don't write negative reviews, nor do I usually knitpick, but for the purposes of this, I'll do both. 1. There was no elevator, so we had to lug our luggage up several flights of stairs. 2. The bathroom was so tiny that while sitting on the toilet, our right sides would bump into the sink and our left sides would bump into the shower - and we're fairly thin (I'm 5'6'' and 115 lbs). 3. We had a lovely view of a construction site. 4. Our bed was the hardest that I've slept on in years. As a result, we did not get a good night's sleep while staying at the hotel, and I am now experiencing neck problems. 5. WiFi connectivity stunk. We were almost never able to use the Internet in our room. 6. The cupboards were built in such a way that we were always bumping into them. 7. We were unable to locate the remote for the TV and thus had to turn it on and change channels on the TV set. However, since the TV only had seven channels, none of which were of interest to us, we simply didn't use the TV.
We hired the 5 bedroom apartment and it was excellent value for money, right on the Main Street for bars, restaurants and the staff could not have been nicer. The apartment even had a little outdoor area which was great.
The room what we get was very UGLY,and not very clean. The hotel has nothing to do with "view luxury apartment".No view and no luxury. It looks more like a hostel, not a 4 stars hotel. The parking area was very small, place only for 4 cars.If you dont want to ruin your vacation, choose an other hotel.
1. Room size was good 2. Small kitchen had what we needed 3.
1. Room lighting dim, needs brighter lights or some lamps 2. No hooks to hang clothes in bathroom or shower room 3. We had a room with an exterior bathroom and exterior shower (3 separate rooms) all with locks and only 1 set of keys. Need a set for each person or swipe card - as it we took turns to use anything - very inconvenient
Superior, large bright room with excellent facilities, huge bathroom was a real plus. Excellent wi-fi Couldn't fault it.
Nicely renovated apartment with most facilities needed. Very central location, however ....
Very noisy at night from drunken crowds outside on the streets - no sleep before the nearby bars close. The apartment windows are old with minimal sound-protecting properties - need replacement by modern windows. Weak, unstable Wi-Fi accessible only from one spot in the apartment.
Good service, kind reception, near to everything.
Excellent location right in the middle of Reykjavik.
Noise from the street below.
The bathroom was huge-the only private bath we had in Iceland. The room was huge-more like a studio apartment.
There was a lot of street noise. Curtains could have been darker.
