Perfect location, on the main shopping street of Reykjavik Good price... at the expense of quality though
The apartment was not in a good condition overall and did not quite match the pictures (furniture/walls/doors were in a poor condition and poorly repaired, cutlery was scarce and mismatched) Room was not very clean (1cm dust on the radiator) Bathroom was ugly and not very functional Corridors look like they've not been refurbished since the 70's Do not quite undersand the principle of the window being the emergency exit - on the 3rd floor! Makes me question the whole safety... My baby and I were waken up by an anonymous call at 6.30 in the morning.
We stayed twice at RWAV this year, at the beginning and end of our Iceland visit. We were pleased to be given an accommodation upgrade. We`ve stayed there in previous years and found it convenient. Our stays were not on weekends so we didn`t have noise to bother with. The nearby supermarket cuts down costs by self catering.
Very comfortable luxury room with hot tub.
No iPod connector for stereo & tv is a nightmare to use!
location kitchen tools dvd perfect wifi
one of staff who work morning time wanted to ask something but she enjoyed talking with her friend and i asked her are u busy? she said to me i was about to leave to drink coffee i cant believe she spoke like that!
Shower and toilet were in two separate locked rooms in the hallway. We needed three keys--one for room, one for toilet, one for shower. Uncomfortable bed. We were overcharged and had to contact them twice to get refund.
I liked that the apartment was in the heart of the city. It was really clean, spacious and comfortable.
The bedroom was not separated from the kitchen and the living room.
Big room in an excellent location, close to everything you might need. Very clean and comfortable.
Some street noise at night but not enough to be a bother
Room was excellent, location walkable to everything. Would stay here if we were to return. Kitchen was stocked with coffee, small fridge, micro and stove top.
Noise! We were on 2nd floor fronting on the street. We heard people talking as they walked by into the night. Try to get a room either higher or at back of facility. Would have rated everything excellent had it not been for the street chatter. Was out till 11:30 and felt safe.
Central location, comfortable beds, clean facilities.
our room overlooked a bar. Since it was the weekend, the noise from the revellers was at high decibel and continued to close to six p.m. Even earplugs didn't help. While the hotel had other things going for it, this noise factor would keep me from recommending it to others that valued sleep. Also, there really wasn't much of a view from our room, other than over the busy and not that picturesque side street. .
Love the room and building. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to young couple on vacation looking for late night fun at a great location for this fun. Stay away if you are an older couple looking to get up at 6AM.
It's located on a very busy street on Friday and Saturday nights so plan accordingly to take your buds... Because the bar next door goes until 4-5AM!! While the double windows help it doesn't eliminate the partying outside and it's loud enough to wake you.
The view was to a backyard with a lot of garbage. Please clean this area or change your name....
The room size was good and generally furnished to a satisfactory level. Kitchen facilities were good and the beds v.ery comfortable.
Whilst the shower worked very well, the absence of any hand rails or shelving for shampoo made life difficult and cut the enjoyment of the shower for fear of falling or inadvertently burning yourself on the hot pipes. The hotel details and guide to the city should be displayed on top of the sideboard rather than hidden a a draw. The so called view from the window was disappointing. The option of a welcome. Food Pack would have been appreciated.
The apartments where on the main road in the city so brilliant after a few drinks and to go shopping. After many nights of hotels with breakfast included it was nice to make your own breakfast. Clean and tidy. As always the hot water smells of eggs
The name of the building is misleading as not every room has a nice view. We had the building on the side street. I did request a higher up room prior to our stay as it was our honeymoon and last night in Iceland however this didn't occur.
Location was good
Came in late at midnight from the airport. Not the warmest of welcomes. I was in the (no view) annex, it was adequate but nowhere as nice as other places or indeed the website! Could do with a refurb and new mattresses. Noisy from late night bars.
Great location lovely apartment comfy able to prepare food for yourself
it is noisy so earplugs helpful
Directly located in the shopping and bar street, but our room was quiet though. Cool style. Bath etc were clean. Kitchen good equipped. Staff was very helpful. Cozy beds.
The bath was really tiny...one person could stand in front of the mini-basin. If you turned to the shower or toilet you were still standing at the same place! Only for thin people :-D Well, maybe other rooms offer more comfort. For us it was fine. Have in mind that the building (across the street of the main reception) has no elevator and some of the rooms are on the 5th floor. For sporty persons tgats no problem ;-)
Good bed and well equiped kitchen
Poor lighting to work in / no curtains in all windows in open plan room to provide privacy or prevent street/day light into bedroom area / rundown stairway to rooms / no breakfast restaurant
Location was great . Excursion busses pick you up at the door. Studio apt was modern and clean
Was not in the main building. Entry and halls in building were not in great shape. No elevator and flights up are long. Could not find mention of that. Friends were in an apt. On the next block.
Brilliant room, really large and very comfortable, well furnished, modern. Loved the spa bath too. This place is located on the main street in the centre of town so perfectly positioned for restaurants, cafes and all amenities.
TV was new but had not been installed properly. Simply said "TV is in shop mode". Mentioned this to staff but it wasn't sorted out. In their defence, we only stayed one night and didn't check in until around 6 in the evening so I expect if we stayed longer it would have been fixed.
Location is great! Right in the middle of shopping area. Many eateries within walking distance.Staff were friendly and very helpful
No elevators in other building of hotel(phone didn't work here) staff helped carry luggage up and down-which was great
Directly in center of town
Olstofa (karmaks & Skjaldor) Is the name of the low-life bar putside our window that let their drunks outside the establishment smoking! Room With AView acknowledged but did nothing to correct this ongoing every weekend occurrence
2 adjacent bars (less then 20' away) across a narrow street below hotel windows (that DO NOT keep out noise) Allow drunk smokers to booze it up outside on sidewalk ALL NIGHT/ EVERYWEEKEND
liked the location friendly & informative staff recommend fly-bus, pretty much on time and quite satisfactory
floors /bathrooms needed to be cleaned on a daily basis, but were not. noise from bars/ restaurants across the street, all hours.
The location and staff were exceptional. The facility was nice and clean. The kitchen was well stocked.
We liked everything. We had a need for a washer and they did not have one, but just had to walk a block to find one.
The best location in the heart of Reykjavik 101. Close to shopping, museums and other venues. Also no more then a 15 minute walk to some breathtaking mountain views off the harbour.
It is next to a bar with patio in which the patrons were quite loud all night. I had some issues sleeping because of it.
