Not far from the plane wreck that we wanted to visit and also close to Vík The sheeps were rounded when we arrived, that was funny to be seen. We seemed to be the only guests, so we had the full guesthouse for us, which was quite comfortable.
The double bed were in fact two beds put together. The Wifi was not stable.
Convenient place to stop along Ring Road. Breakfast was nice. Was nice to have an en-suite bathroom. Nothing fancy but a good place to stop while traveling the ring road since there are not a lot of options.
Rooms were located in a long hallway which made it feel more like a dorm. Not much to do in area. Wi-fi signal did not work very well in room.
Convenience and price
Shared bath downstairs does not have ventilation so it smells like mildew.
Quiet, clean. I liked the reading room down the hall, as sometimes I'm awake at night.
staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast was good.
wi-fi was weak. advertised "cooking facilities" was a small fridge, a coffee pot, and a small microwave.
The farm house stay with amazing view, hearing sheeps, birds, cow nature sound 8n the morning.
A bit noisy if someone walk around the wooden corridor.
Cleanliness and silent position.
Too expensive considering the room , dinner and shared facilities.
Very clean rooms Nice facilities
Location, far from everything Just a bit too expensive Crowded at breakfast
I'm a sheep farmer and this farm was recommended to me by a knowledgeable Icelandic friend. They have a flock about the size of mine and May is lambing month in Iceland. We spent the evening in the lambing barn--you have no idea how much fun that is to people like us. The area was quite picturesque and great fun for a short visit. We both would like to go back, maybe for the fall return of the sheep from the hills. The facilities would appeal to the back packer, farm person, value conscious person. Definitely not luxury, but very nice.
Clean room and ensuite bathroom. Good breakfast.
Superb guesthouse with really nice, clean and well decorated rooms. There are signs on the road directing you to this hotel, so it's very easy to find it. There is a good choice of food for the breakfast. The staff are really friendly. Highly recommended!
Just minor things: we ordered a double room, but got a twin one. But it was ok for us, as the beds are easily pushed together. Wifi connection in our room was rather poor.
Located near Route 1 and at 10 km from Dyrholaey.
Very nice B&B in the country, near the ocean and glaciers. I was there in early Feb., so it was very quiet with only one other guest. Personal bathroom with the room was nice, a good change from my hotel in Reykjavik.
Breakfast had a good spread, but I don't eat much dairy and I found myself rather limited. But, all in all, that is my only, small, complaint.
Lovely location, easy to find, nice breakfast
Nothing major but we had only one tv channel
Basic but very friendly and clean.
WIFI only in the restaurant
We stayed here in December 2013 and it was the perfect start to our holiday. Correspondance will Elin prior to our arrival was always friendly and efficient. The guesthouse was signposted from the main road so was easy to find. Our rooms had been heated prior to our arrival, which was very welcome after a long journey from the airport. The rooms themselves were clean and nicely furnished. We were travelling as two couples so the common area was useful for us to spend time together in the evening. We were also able to make hot drinks to take in our flasks during the day. We had the three course evening meal on both nights and the food was amazing. Much of it was locally produced, and it was very fresh. The breakfast was also delicious - there was an excellent range of food to suit everyone's taste and fresh milk from the farm. We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again should we go back to Iceland.
Stunning Location & very friendly owner.
The room was too small & resembled a caravan interior, albeit clean. Double bed far too small.
so comfortable, so kind, and good breakfirst,
