Great position at a very close distance from the falls. Good hot jacuzzi in the garden :-) Sigga is simply great! So welcoming and kind!!and her onw made bread for breakfast is amazing!! I regret i didn't ask for the recipe!!!

Only down side for those interested is the low internet connection. All the rest is great!

Could hear people in other rooms, on deck and in hot tub so could not sleep. No keys to rooms. Wife pleasant but husband not. If you are young you may like but older folks would not.

The hosts were very friendly, helpful, and easygoing people, and it was a delight to stay there. It feels more like a home than a guesthouse, with comfortable beds and pillows in simple and clean rooms. The curtains were nice and dark, something that was hard to find in Iceland. The kitchen has everything you need, and the jacuzzi was so welcoming after a long day driving.

There was nothing we did not like about this place. Best accommodations we had in Iceland!

Nice location. In case you enjoy a lot of people and different nations, take it. Open minded and nice personnel.

In case you look for quiet location, there are better. Small kitchen for so many people at the same time.

This was exactly what we were looking for. We had a clean room for our family - us and 2 teenage kids. Delicious breakfast in the morning, and we were on our way. It was a convenient place to stay while exploring the beautiful area. Thanks!

Wi-Fi was slow but that's not the reason why we visited this beautiful country.

This little guesthouse was in a wonderful location within walking distance of a beautiful waterfall! Easy to find right off the main road. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was large and tasty and the staff was very friendly!

Nothing really. The hot tub was more of a tub filled with warm water that had hot spring water being added through a garden hose but it was quaint and not at all a problem. The wifi signal was weak but we were happy to have any at all in this area. Lastly, this guesthouse is very busy so BE SURE to keep in touch with the owner/staff and confirm your booking the day you plan to arrive. We had no problem but some others who arrived late had to move to another house related to the main house as the primary house was full and I believe that they had not told anyone they would be arriving late... or at all.

Location close to the ring road, flexibility with the check in time (arrived very late due to a delayed flight), good atmosphere.

Somewhat limited breakfast, Wi-Fi in the secondary house only worked in some portions of the room and the speed were not great at all.

Lively and very friendly. You become part of the family and Sigga and her husband were excellent hosts. Thanks for the fish! A short walk to Skogafoss but also another waterfall where no one visited...and we're keeping it secret! Great hot tub on the patio!

Can get a bit squashed at breakfast time but you get to meet new folk more closely!

Friendly owners and great location. Very close to the waterfall. Access to laundry facilities was helpful.

The place is nice but a bit chaotic. The kitchen was open and accessible to guests but, as a result, could have been cleaner. Although cozy, the rooms are small.

We had just spent 5 days backpackinging down from Landmannalaugar and finally made it to Skogar after a long and very wet & cold day on the trail. Sigga met us at the door and immediately welcomed us into her home even though we were soaking wet and muddy. Sigga was so thoughtful and gracious. She prepared the Jacuzzi for us and helped us do a load of laundry. We were so grateful to have landed at such a warm and welcoming place. I wish we could have spent more time. I would definitely stay here again!

We arrived wet and cold after a long day's motorbike ride to be told that we would be staying in a room in another house about 750m away. The room we were put in (in someone's house) had 2 single beds, was in poor condition and had no facilities other than a small bathroom. compared to the possibilities available in the original house - it was nothing like we booked 6 months before.

Very friendly and welcoming owner. There was a big family atmosphere. Room was quite comfy. It was full of life.

Only 2 bathrooms for at least 20 people which made them quite dirty. Breakfast room too small for the average occupancy, you had to wait your turn.

Good location, on road no. 1 near the skogafoss

Dingy place, packed with people, noisy, and with a crazy landlady. We just wanted to get away from there. Booking.com usually gets it right, but this was a real turn off

Not a usual guesthouse, here you are treated as a member of the family by the owners: you share their summer house, the meals, the living rooms, the spa, no key/no number on the rooms doors. Once you know the conditions, you love it...

... or you hate it and then you rather go to the hotel and pay twice the price, to be at walking distance from Skogafoss!

    Friendly staff, very clean facility

Showers too few, dining room too small, fridge space not enough for the number of guests - charge is too high for such conditions

The host and hostess were most helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Glad they've added a 3rd bathroom as there are a lot of people staying here sharing bathrooms.
