The hotel is very clean, comfortable beds and good sized room. The front desk women were so helpful, friendly and spoke excellent english. My sister and I would recommend this hotel highly.. Wonderful hiking and views with a great locAtiion. Dinner was great. Loved the sauna and jacuzzi, even with bits of lava in the bottom of the pool...thanks so much to the staff!

Excellent location, next to waterfall and an outstanding museum. We chose it as a half-way base to the glacier lake at Jokulsarlon--which is still a 2 1/2 hour drive each way but worth it. In early September it was run by just 2 staff rather than the 5 in July & August, but they were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was adequate and the restaurant was better than expected. Good hot tub & Sauna. Off the main road, so fairly quiet. Bed a rather small double--we are used to king size. No lounge for evenings.

The chef served a good fish meal in the restaurant. Untrained reception staff. We booked a superior double room via booking.com, but on arrival, no room was available. After a long wait for the manager to arrive from elsewhere, we were given an upgrade to a "suite" as this was the only room unoccupied in this small hotel. The room had no hanging space and there were no drawers, meaning we had to "camp" out of our suitcases; wholly unsatisfactory for this expensive and tired hotel. The lamb served in the restaurant was not good.

Nothing, it was a total rip off, an absolute disappointment, and nothing more than a basic family bed and breakfast. The run down bedrooms, the dirt, no facilities, the over priced rates, the size of room, the dated and shabby bathrooms. Overpriced dining room.

The hotel's location is great as it's near Skogarfoss, though we couldn't see the waterfall from the room. The manager/staff was friendly and helpful. We had a high expectation of the room as it was the most expensive (€244 a night) hotel for our eight nights' stay in Iceland. However, we were really disappointed as the room is small and there are very few room facilities.

Person geeignet)!
