Score from 220 reviews Very good
There was only one WC/shower for all the rooms generating queues in the morning. Our room was a bit noisy for that reason.
close to cliffs with birds gasoline station very close to many magnificient spots
no kitchen for backpackers
Excellent location. Good breakfast with lots of variety.
Very simply and noisy bedrooms.
very noisy only one bathroom for ten rooms very expensive
You could feel the bedsprings. One of the sheets had holes. There was one bathroom for nine rooms. On top of it the campers were using the washroom too. The rooms were not in house on the picture, but in some shabby guesthouse on the side. I would not recommend this place at all.
Location, grill opportunity outside
Not comfortable small room, broken shelf upside the sink, old paint and the furniture inside, creaky and rigid beds, joint toilet and shower - one for many guest rooms
Very good location, clean, friendly staff
Lots of birds, great coastline, spectacular scenery. Dinner at the restaurant was very good and the service was friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast.
No mirror in the room and toilets and showers were in the same room so there was always a wait!
Near the hiking trail.
No Wi-Fi No kitchen Dark
la chambre est grande
le prix est élevé par rapport à la prestation
Just the location and the marvelous settings
The beds were uncomfortable. The bathrooms too few for the amount of guests. The accommodation really poorly furnished. Noisy place and far from being clean. Overall, a place to avoid, especially when you understand what you are really paying for it. This is the worse quality/price ratio ever! My suggestion: just avoid it!
very well positionned for a visit of Anarstapi and Snaefellsness in general, good restaurant
- room extremely small in the ol guesthouse, shower with toilet on ground floor was soaked, shower holder broken, very very hot water, curtain inefficient, people come in with wet dirty shoes on => I only took a shower because I had to ! - no Wifi - breakfast not included for a high price already
weather was terrible
Location Good value budget stop; basic but description on site was fair.
Can't comment on food as did not eat there
The room was very clean and comfortable. I have not had much experience with guesthouses being from the states but found it to be very easy.
There was only one shower in our building which was a little inconvenient.
Proximity to birding locations ... and west coast geology.
Seems like there were 5 rooms ... all sharing one bathroom
Great location, only 5 minutes walk to get to the coastal Hellnar-Arnarstapi hiking trail and close to many of the most beautiful attractions of Snæfellsjökull National Park. Loved the turf-covered roof of the guesthouse restaurant!
Go there for the location, NOT the lodging. This place is less of a guesthouse and more of a hostel. Most of the bad reviews of this place are accurate: too many people using one bathroom(hot water ran out very quickly),not really kept up, and very cluttered and untidy grounds around the guesthouse.
Very convenient location to take the Arnastapi-Hellnar hike. Restaurant at the hotel was good and very accomodating for watching the World Cup Finals.
No WiFi available at all. Doors were very loud opening and closing during the night.
Very unprofessional staff, they lied to us and tried to convince us that the room we booked does not exist in this hostel!!!!! Ridiculous, really! Who does that!!!! After the manager came over, we found a compromise, which involved us packing and unpacking two days in a row.... Well, I know where I am not going to stay next time in Island....
Restaurant and location
Boarding room building
The location near the cliffs and Snaefellsness - very big rooms. Good food/drinks. Friendly staff. And dont forget the crazy birds ;-) in summer time. Late arrival from ferryboat was possible after calling the guesthouse. For one night ok.
No sink in the room => for people with contact lenses sometimes hard to manage ;-)
The location, we spotted orcas from the coast just by the guesthouse. The bar/restaurant was nice, though my travelling companions thought the soup tasted too much sheep.
Only one bathroom/shower in the guesthouse. Absence of common kitchen. Lack of WiFi.
The location! Right near the park; easy access to lots of hiking trails and points of interest.
