good wifi, breakfast. facilities were fine, staff was helpful and nice. very nice location!
price was rather high (compared to value in return)
We stayed in the main house and had a lovely spacious room with en suite toilet and shower. There was plenty of room for our suitcases along with a wardrobe, desk and chair. The guesthouse was really clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. The guesthouse is in a beautiful peaceful location with amazing views. The conservatory where breakfast is served is bright, airy and has wonderful views. Breakfast was yummy. We would definitely stay there again as we felt very relaxed, comfortable and at home there.
A few flies in our room on arrival. The décor in our room was not really to our taste.
Very nice view from the window and from the dining area, in which we spend some time in the evening. Good breakfast. Comfortable big rooms. Shared (5 rooms) bathroom with toilet and shower. Friendly owner who provided information for trips.
Wonderful location, very friendly hosts, everythig was perfect!
Great location, great view. Helpful and welcoming host.
Nice sitting area for breakfast. Host and his family were very warm and welcoming.
Not set up for cooking your own food. Breakfast was ok.
Good access and well-serviced guest-house. Splendid view.
Shared bath and WC could get a bit 'busy' at times.
Beautiful surroundings Very friendly housekeeper Ideal location for ferry ride
The room was nice and comfy, the views were great, the breakfast was very good, but...
... the guest in the room next to mine had an awful really loud snoring that kept me up all night!!! Was so desperate that knocked his door but, still, couldn't wake him up. Maybe soundproofing could be improved?
Very small and facilities were poor for the price compared to other accommodation that gave better value for money
Beautiful remote location with views over the sea and towards mountains; friendly Icelandic horses; welcoming host; cottage was warm and suited our needs.
Kitchenette quite small; basin and cooking hobs next to each other on the bench. Wi Fi not good at cottage but OK near main building.
Nice friendly staff, big clean rooms, tasty varied breakfast. Host was friendly and recommended good restaurants for dinner yet there is no dinner in the hotel
They have the best dinning room.
It is far from the town and the restaraun close at 9:30pm.
Good breakfast, very clean & comfortable. Stayed in the cabin & it was perfect. Very nice staff & pretty location.
great view..best sunset we saw during our two week visit to Iceland. Lovely setting with great breakfast room.
Our ferry was late so we arrived at guest house late. Owner was not accomodating despite calling ahead to let them know of situation. Breakfast was available for only 1 hour 8-9am
we stayed in wooden cottage - it was perfect, with sea view, very cosiness and clean.
A wonderful place to stay! When we were driving up there, a snowstorm was about to start, but the owner wrote a warning, so we managed to arrive before it really picked up. We stayed in the cabin, which was a perfect place to watch the crazy weather. The rooms were cosy and clean. On the next morning, we had a beautiful view of the Kirkjufell and a great breakfast. A great place to stay on Snæfellsnes!
We stayed in the cottage, and it is amazing! With views to the Kirkjufell and the sunset. The cottage is simple but very comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped so it is possible to have dinner there.
Breakfast could be improved, with some fruit and bakery.
they given us a little independent house, all in wood with a fantastic view. the house was very clean and confortable.
It was very clean and comfort, room was big, view from window was stunning. Everything was average, but not great, price was too high.
Breakfast was very basic and most little choices among the 10+ Icelandic guest houses we stayed. Basically you have to eat everything to make your stomach full. Toilet was ridiculously small considering the size of the room.
What a stunning place! We had an amazing two days staying in the cabin. The view is magnificent and the waves of weather buffeting the Icelandic horses were a sight to behold. Breakfast good and a friendly welcome.
The location is in a stunning area within the Snaefellness peninsula - excellent access to surrounding countryside.
Poor WiFi - but I can live without that very happily.
The best place we stayed in Iceland! The location can't be beat for beauty. We saw the aurora both nights and it was a spectacular viewing location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was fun to interact with the horses, who are friendly. There were 5 of us in the cottage (4 adults and an infant) and it was a great space with incredible views. The road provides a beautiful running route. Good location near town and close to Snaefellsjokull. Good breakfast too!
Amazing location! Only about a 5 minute drive to the town if you need anything, but it feels like you're totally secluded. And the view is beautiful, the bay is literally right in front of this property. Marteinn was very nice and helpful. He actually left town the day after we checked in, but left us numbers for him and his sister (who was in town) if we needed anything, and also sent several emails while he was gone to make sure everything was okay. We had booked to stay in the guesthouse, a room with a shared bathroom. But I think since no one else was booked for several of the days we were there, Marteinn upgraded us to the private cabin, stocked the kitchen with breakfast items for us, and then was able to leave town. So I can't comment on how the guesthouse itself is (looked very nice when I checked in and out) but the cabin is adorable!! We loved it! And as it turns out, we had one day with horrible weather, crazy strong winds and rain, we couldn't go anywhere, so it was nice to have a cabin to hang out in and not be confined to a room. Beds were comfy, I would definitely recommend staying here, it was the perfect location to explore the area.
The internet reception was a little spotty in the cabin. We always were able to get it, you just needed to sit near the window. I'm sure it was much stronger at the guesthouse. As others have mentioned there were flies, but in the cabin there was a little hand held vacuum, so we just sucked them right up.
