Friendly owner Johann welcomed me and asked me to treat his home as my own. Big house and very cosy with different areas for reading and relaxing. Fantastic scenery and walks around the house.

Frábært / Absolutely wonderful, great service and gigantic rooms. There are horses all around and the setting is beautiful. We stayed there the night before our wedding and it was wonderful, we got married in the church nearby, Silfrastaðir, and it was convenient for us. I would go back there just to relax and enjoy the scenery.

- L'emplacement en pleine nature - Le confort des chambres et de la salle à manger - L'accueil trés sympathique. Il y eu incompréhension avec la personne qui était présente et qui ne parlait pas Anglais. Nous avions prévu de faire notre repas du soir, mais apparemment ce n'est pas prévu. La cuisine ainsi que la salle à manger n'étaient pas vraiment disponibles car elles servaient pour les repas préparés par l'établissement.

Pareja encantadora. Trato familiar. Johann hace que nos encontremos como en nuestra propia casa, se sienta con nosotros a charlar de la situación de ambos países, nos enseña su álbum de fotos... Greta muy simpática, no habla inglés pero sí con gestos y sonrisas. Habitaciones enormes y cómodas, todo limpio y cuidada decoración. Entorno maravilloso, situado en plena naturaleza. Lo recomendamos a todo el mundo.

És una casa allunyada de tot. Ni el GPS la trobava perquè no tenia a la seva base de dades la carretera que hi portava. Sort que vam veure un cartell indicador! La casa fa molts anys que no s'hi ha fet cap reforma. Tot és vell. La mestressa (l'única persona de la casa, que nosaltres sapiguem) és agradable, però només parla islandès. Aquella nit no hi havia cap més habitació ocupada i, segons el llibre de visites en el que et convidaven a escriure abans de marxar, feia dues o tres nits que no hi havia dormit ningú. Tot plegat, bastant tètric.

I chose this place because I planned to take the Kjolur and this place is the nearest place I can find from booking.com. Very friendly owner. Next to a farm house which my daughter enjoyed taking pictures with the horses. This place is not along the main road and one must look for the small 'Egilsa' sign, where this guesthouse is located.

casa rural situada en un paraje excepcional, instalaciones muy sencillas pero valoro el poder tener contacto con la gente del lugar. El Sr que lo lleva fue muy amable y pude charlar con el sobre la vida en Islandia y otros temas, lo cual me gustó mucho, ya que eso no es posible hacerlo en un hotel.

Location next to R1 but absolutely quiet. Nice staff.I was not satisfiet with very narrow double bed. In 10 minutes we got 1bed more. Thanks. Small selection for breakfast.The room was basic furnished, the bedclothes clean but ragged. We got no towel.

Les toilettes sont propres. Les douches ne sont vraiment pas en bon état. La décoration est très "kitch" et un peu vieillote. Les serviettes et les draps n'étaient pas repassés. Le petit déjeuner ne semblait pas très frais (beurre périmé depuis la veille, jambon un peu sec sur les bords...) Et surtout, après avoir recalculer (pas facile avec la conversion sur le moment), nous avons payé bien plus cher que le prix indiqué sur booking (101€ au lieu de 90€), que nous trouvions déjà cher pour les services proposés.
