Hotel Varmahlid  

You could tell the hotel was newly renovated because it was clean and freshly decorated. The rooms were comfortable and pretty luxurious by Iceland hotel standards. There was a towel warmer in the bathroom as well as a hair dryer.The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with variety of offerings. Each person in my group was able to find something they wanted to eat. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly, ready to accomodate our needs.

The soap dispenser in the shower was broken so we had to use the one by the sink but this was a small inconvenience.

Staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. Comfortable beds and showers.

We felt very well at this very well organized hotel at Varmahlid. It was a nice stop after a long day driving off-road inside Island. People working there were very helpful and friendly.

Not enough babycots (we requested four as we were two couples traveling with very young kids and only provided 2)... something very common in Island. Although you book enough babycots it is rear to find them.

The staff were very all very friendly and helpful in booking us into the rafting tour the next morning. The best part was, they accepted late check-out to 12pm so that we could take a bath and get change after the rafting tour before checking out. The rooms, though small in size but clean and comfortable. Wifi was free yet can't access in room, you have to go out in the corridor to access internet. The restaurant was good too.

Could not book a family room for 4, so we have to book 2 rooms which cost a lot more.

I picked this hotel simply because it's the only one in the area. And not knowing how bad and long of a drive through the Kjolur route from Reykjavik to the northern region, I picked the nearest hotel at the end of the route. And Varmahlid was it. I would not stay here again.

Rooms are small. Bathrooms are tiny. Beds and furniture are very basic like those you would find in a thrift shop. And our rooms were last renovated in 2012! Limited selection for breakfast.

Keurige kamer, wel heel warm, prima locatie aan rustige doorgaande weg, supermarkt in de nabijheid. Prima ontbijt en erg lekker diner.

Gute Lage, hat das einzige Restaurant im Ort.

Zimmer waren sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, im Bad keine Seife und Shampoo (daher wohl auch keine Seifenschale in der Dusche - war abgerissen), keine Ablageflächen. Nur isländisches TV, keinerlei ausländische Programme, offenbar will man den Gästen aus Europa nicht allzuviel Komfort bieten.

150 евро за ночь это ,конечно,круто ,но пожив в 3 гостевых домах в исландии по цене 100-147 евро за ночь однозначно рекомендую отель. за то,чтобы с утра не стоять по полчаса в очередь в туалет и плюс к этому вдвоём позавтракать - за это можно всё отдать:) идеальное место для логистики на рафтинг,до рафтинга 12 км. Hotel Varmahlid -Forever!

на лифт ,похоже,денег не хватило.шахта есть,а лифта нет.одна дверь ведёт на улицу,другая в шахту.осторожно,с утра можно перепутать! обе двери были открыты,с утра открыл ту,которая в шахту.так вместо рафтинга едва не случился шахтинг.

Apasrtamento nuevo con parquet y cocina completa. Más apropiado para una familia que desee cocinar en el apartamento.

Das Hotel ist günstig gelegen direkt an der Ringstrasse. Die Zimmer sind standardmässig ausgerüstet, Frühstücksbuffet ok. Unbedingt 200m den Berg hinauf das Schwimmbad mit hot tub besuchen!

Da sich in der Nähe kein Restaurant befindet, ist das Hotelrestaurant preislich eher im hohen Niveau für Abendessen. Ist aber ein omnipräsentes Problem und nicht speziell auf dieses Hotel bezogen.

Endilega þarf að komu upp lyftu í hótelinu þar sem lyftuhúsið er til staðar.

La chambre très spacieuse avec un petit salon. Chambre située au rc de l'hôtel. Il y avait un plus très très appréciable, du café et du thé dans la chambre. Le restaurant était très correct aussi.

Alt var helt fint, meget kort ophold

Gutes Restaurant direkt im Hotel, gemuetliche Bar.

Zimmer eher einfach ausgestattet, aber gross. Sehr starker Schwefelgeruch beim heissen Wasser der Dusche...landestypisch. Bad eher klein und leider kein Foen.
