Room was warm on a sunny day - I had to open the door because the window didn't open far enough No breakfast but there is a store nearby

Comfortable beds, clean, nice shower.

The owner spent time with us and gave us good information on driving and how to get to places of interest. The unit was very clean and the bathroom was grand. The best bathroom in all of the places we stayed in our entire week on the island.

This was my fith time in Iceland, and this guesthouse was the best thing I ever found in Iceland, the owner is the most friendly person in gthe whole country, not kidding! We were stuck in the snow and he kindly took us to the supermarket and also showed us the town, the rooms have all the facilities you need, and a mega power vulcanic shower! Internet is really fast. Very easy access to the center, is difficult to say how much we enjoyed to stay at Vinland!

The staff is very helpful, he will give opinion on our next day trip, the best way/ path, what can be seen.

The price seems very high when compare to the facilities, it is the most expensive guesthouse among our trip. While we don't found its give more excellent facilities (its still good, while the same as other), or in excellent location. The worst case is that water drop fm the toilet ceiling.

The owner is extremely friendly and nice. Room size is good, new and clean facilities. The three rooms we stayed were a house in the middle of a hill. Stunning views outside the room overlooking the countryside.

Only accessible if you are driving because it is far from city center

Basic but clean and spacious room. Plates and bowls etc so possible to eat in the room if required. Easy check out as we had paid when checked in. Great as a stopover while carrying on the Ring road.

Its not actually in Egilstaddir, its about 3k outside (1k to between the border of Egilstaddir and the town land of the guesthouse).

Good place on your way to Akereyri. A good place to stop.

Simple facility that is as described. Nice view from the front porch of the rooms overlooking the lake.

Rooms have a small refrigerator and microwave and utensils but no table other than a small desk. A table that could be used for dining would have been nice. Refrigerator in my unit did not work. Egilsstadir doesn't have the best nightlife options in Iceland.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location. Adequate facilities. Clean room with sufficient furniture. Easy access to local facilities & sites.

Rough access road. Beds a bit on the hard side. If neighbours were inconsiderate it could be noisy.

The owner was wonderfully kind and the room was the best we had stayed in on our trip. We had a two week trip all around the Ring Road and Egilsstadir might have been our favorite stop simply because this place was so welcoming and comfortable. We settled in immediately! Previous reviews complained that there is no silverware or a hairdryer - both of these have been remedied. There is no kitchen but with a bakery just 5-10 minutes walk who really needs one?! The bathroom was beautiful and it was such a luxury to have our own private bathroom after all of the hostels we stayed in.

It was adorable and quiet - exactly what we were looking for. I have absolutely zero complaints.

The rooms were interesting, warm, clean and modern. Microwave and kettle with coffee etc provided - unusual in Iceland. Nice bathroom. Everything fine for just an overnight stay whilst touring the island.

There was no-one around when we arrived but that didn't really matter. A phone number was given and we were told which room to go to No breakfast and although we knew that, it was the only place out of six we stayed at that didn't offer breakfast. The local area doesn't have much to offer but fine when just passing through.

There were separate appartmens. The rooms were clean and very practical furnished. There is lot of equipment for preparing food for yourself (e.g.microwawe oven). We enjoyed it on our tour around the island. We could park our car next to door. I recommand it

Location is a beat out of town, in a farming area, but not a problem when you have a car. The room was basic and comfort. Very clean. The microwave in very useful.

They can be more generous with plates and cups, and give more than one for each. If you want to make a salad, you need to make a portion in each plate.

The quoted price should be in local currency ISK, due to difference in changing rates.

The guesthouse is situated in the twin town of Egilsstadir across the lake in a quiet and nice natural location.The owner is a very nice, easy going and cooperative person. The room is simple and clean, and has all the necessary facilities stated in its description.

Accès facile le long de la route numéro 1. Propreté.

Baraquement mal isolé, on entend tout ce que fait le voisin. Équipement très sommaire. Il fallait oser la couleur vert dentiste de l'intérieur. Très insuffisant pour le prix demandé en comparaison de ce que nous avons vu ailleurs sur l'île.
