Relax on the grounds at this friendly hotel, in the popular area of San Lorenzo in the center of Rome, surrounded by typical restaurants and cafés.

The staff was very helpful and we were thankful that they spoke English! The breakfast was excellent. They have a nice outside patio to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The room was quite clean though there was some mold in the shower. There was an AC unit in the room. The bed was very comfy. It is in walking distance of most of the main tourist attractions. We got the OMNIA Pass and the hotel was very close to stop 7 on the bus tour.
They never changed our bed sheets which I found a little odd since we were there 4 nights but they did give us fresh towels every day. Check-in time is at 2 but our flight got us there in the morning. They did let us check in a couple of hours early but they made sure to let us know several times that it was before check in time. We wouldn't have had a problem waiting longer but our luggage that they were holding for us was just left in the lobby which isn't very secure.
hair in the shower run down
staff was good
noise on location and hot water shortage
Staff were excellent as was the breakfast each morning. The hotel is very clean and in a good location: walking distance to the Colosseum, Form & many churches; right on the bus line to the Vatican. The best restaurants were through the old city wall along Via Gallia (the opposite direction of the tourist sites). Try Mangiafuoco: great pasta & the best pizza we had in Rome all for a very reasonable price. As we strolled back from the restaurant, Gellato was a must!
The room was a bit small however, as North American's, we have been spoiled with space. The hotel is very close to a hospital so ambulances run throughout the night which might be troubling to a very light sleeper.
The staff at this hotel was wonderful: courteous, efficient and thoughtful. We had problems with unauthorized transactions on our debit card, and the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting the problem resolved. We are so grateful. The room was perfect, with a small terrace on which we could sit and review our busy day and enjoy a glass of superb Italian wine. I would return here in a heartbeat. The location was also perfect - a short walk for the coliseum and the centre of all the action!
Other than the fact that we did not want to leave, there was nothing about our experience at Hotel Valeri that we dd not like.
Pleasant part of Rome
Not much. At times the walls seemed rather thin.
Location : moderately apart from popular tourist attractions which kept my staying here peaceful Also with good access to Termini (10 mins by bus) Kind staffs : almost 24 hour run reception, staffs are extremely kind. They even let me have breakfast way earlier than schedued hour
No slipper, no shampoo & conditioner but considering the price, i think this shouldn't be a problem.
Great location and plenty of places to go out for lunch and dinner close by.
Breakfast was a let down. Toast, eggs and ham n cereal. No orange juice, beans, mushrooms etc.
Stuff are very supportive and nice
Cleaniness need to improve.
The room was clean and enough large. We slept very well. The breakfast was very good and the hot drinks are very good quality. They prepare for you what do you want (hot chocolate, expreso...).
In the last morning we didn't have hot water.
Personnel are very nice. Very clean. Breakfast is good
Room is quite small
At the time of our booking, the listing on booking.com said it had parking on site. We booked our hotels for our trip based on this requirement. When he checked in and found out that the listing was wrong, they refused to allow us to shorten our stay out alert it in any way without paying the full amount. The listing also said there is Wi-Fi in all areas which also was not true. Lastly, we asked for advice on the best way to get to Vatican city. We were given very wrung advice that lead to is spending inert an hour and a half on a bus that should have only taken 20 minutes. In short, know this stuff going in and you may be okay but this place isn't the best when you have a small child.
Loved everything, especially the staff!!
The staff were very nice, we had a problem with the hot water on the first day but it was fixed pretty quickly, they even offered us beverages for the inconvenience. Really comfortable beds and the overall look is immaculate, very good price for such an amazing hotel.
There was nothing I didn't particularly dislike, just some tips such as the toilet brush should be replaced immediately, they should have an extra glass in the shower cabinet, water goes everywhere and the toilet sit is so high up in room 6, my legs were in the air and I am "5.10, some DIY in the walls and door frames, but then again is just my opinion, I am a bit OCD.
Excellent location, not too busy and noise levels minimal at night. Only 10 min stroll from the coliseum and other attractions. The hotel was very very clean and perfect for our stay. We were greeted by a friendly staff member at midnight and showed us too our room and helped carry our cases which was very helpful after a very long day with our baby son. Breakfast was excellent for a 3 star hotel, not much choice but perfect for us to start the day. Also the other staff members during the day were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially couples and we would definitely stay there again if visiting Rome in the future
Only downfall was not having a bath for our baby boy but this was our fault as we should have requested one of the other rooms with a bath in it
In general all good, great value for money, friendly staff and location +
No internet available in my room
Room noisy at top of stairs
Comfortable bed, large bathroom. The breakfast is ample, although more savoury options would be good. We had a small courtyard, which was fantastic to use after a hard day exploring Rome. Great location, with short walk to the Metro. Restaurants close walk away.
Be warned about room 7. The courtyard was great, but the walls of the room are thin, and the room is next to the reception. I could hear the noise of the receptionist moving in their chair. Let alone when a loud family of Americans checked out at 6am one morning, going back and forwards down the corridor at top voice.
Great breakfast. Friendly staff.
The street noise during the night.
Very knowledgable lady at Reception. Room looked nice - but it would appear we didn't get the room we thought we had booked as it was much much smaller. Location was good for collosseum. Would recommend based on presentation, but think room location is a big key as to whether this meets expectations.
Didn't get room we thought we had booked. Room was right next to Reception and on the other side a family with a young child who was quite distressed. Family didn't appear to do much/care to calm the child down. Staff did try and speak to family but it didn't change much. Room also faced street which was very noisy with sirens- believe it is right near a hospital. Would have appreciated being relocated to another room this wasn't able to be done...
The rooms were modern with a courtyard or balcony, breakfast was very good, the staff was very helpful, and it was close to the bus lines.
The staff was the absolute friendliness they help with anything they can. The breakfast is basic croissants, rolls, cereal, and fruit. They'll ask if you want meat and cheese and say yes! I had like 3 cups of tea every morning. The beds our the comfiest with one regular pillow and one tempurpedic. The location was great for us because we're big walkers. The hotel was a max 10 min walk from the colosseum and then the metro station is right next to the colosseum. Also if you go across the street, straight through the little park and left all the way at the end of the street is a supermarket. The price was absolutely amazing for what you get. Would recommend to anyone.
We stayed 2 times and the second time we stayed our refrigerator didn't work.
The hotel staff, location, breakfast and rooms are good.
Nothing in particular, the hotel is very good in it own location, if it was in another city I would might say not a good hotel, but in Rome, that was a good one. Definitely will use it again next time.
Absolutely nothing to fault. Great location, great breakfast, great room, great staff.
It was very clean and the bus stop was right across the street which also took you to the metro. Was close to the colosseum. Most of the staff was friendly
Only about half of the staff spoke english. They had the same breakfast every single day and it was stale on the 3rd day. They offered water bottles but did not tell us we have to pay for them.. no elevator and said free parking but there is no parking. A little hard to find but we did.
