La Campana is halfway between St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge, a 5-minute walk from both. It offers elegant Venetian-style rooms on 4 floors of a renovated 16th-century building.

Score from 317 reviews Wonderful
the warmth and easygoing feel of the place, the communal breakfasts, the location away from the touristic hordes, the lovely and attentive staff, everything, really. I have stayed in all sorts of accommodation al over the world, and this one is a standout in terms of ease and charm.
nothing at all
Welcoming, family feel.
The garden is like a secret refuge from the crowds near the Rialto bridge. The hotel is very well located. The small size gives amore intimate feeling when you stay there and the staff are very helpfull to make you feel welcome and to organise your time in this magical city. Venice is very expensive in general, but I feel this hotel gives a good ballance of price/value.
The breakfast was very good, but could be improved slightly (the coffee specifically).
A cozy, comfortable stay, situated centrally and being managed by a very friendly and efficient team. We would recommend to anyone who wants to have a care-free stay in Venice at a reasonable rate.
Mattio was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, very welcoming Nice quiet location Cute private garden for relaxing/breakfast
Bathroom a bit cramped Lock on bathroom door was difficult to open and close
Mattia was very helpful and nice and our room was good. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tight, but just fine. Loved the location and breakfast was good. The man who helps with breakfast makes a beautiful cappuccino!
Nice, romantic place. Unforgettable the feeling of the breakfast in the beautiful garden!
Breakfast, wifi, host, view, location and courtyard. You MUST stay here when you travel to Venice.
Nothing. Just don't get the room on the first floor (we didn't).
Location, staff was very helpful and owner was a local who gave us many pointers to get off the beaten path and experience Venice like a Venetian. Garden was an oasis of calm and a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast or a bottle of wine after a day walking the streets of Venice.
Our room on the first floor was beside the kitchen and did not have a good view. We had to keep the curtains closed at all times for privacy yet paid the same price as the other standard rooms on upper levels with good views.
3749 Pontechiodo is a small hotel located in a quiet neighbourhood. There's a lovely little garden and the owner is friendly.
Our bathroom was across the hall (which was indicated when booking), but the problem wasn't with it being across the hall, it was with the layout of the room: a small space for the sink, toilet and in betweeen a tiny shower. The breakfast consisted of only tea/coffee and a croissant.
Owner incredibly helpful! Speaks multiple languages well. Great advice on what to seen and when in the day to see it. Wonderful atmosphere. Away from crowded tourist areas. Quiet area. Easy to get to and leave from once you know where it is!
Was difficult to find, but then addresses in Venice aren't really addresses!
All our friends had told us not to have high expectations of Venice especially hotels however Pontechiodo certainly proved them wrong. We had s spacious clean room overlooking a canal with lovely antique furniture. Hotel was very central and easy to travel anywhere especially to the airport taxi boat ( walking distance).
Would benefit from a wider choice for breakfast.
In a very busy tourist city you find an oasis of calm. Great to sit in the garden for breakfast and later in the evening having a glass of wine mulling over the days activities. The owner is very obliging and informative and sugested some great resturants.
Matteus (host) was absolutely amazing! Thanks to him we were able to plan out the best way to see everything, enjoy wonderful dinners and avoid being sucked into the tourist traps. He was extremely helpful and offered great advice to add to our list of things to do. We were also very pleased with our location during or stay. Venice is small, so if you are willing to walk nothing is truly far, however Ponte Chiodo is in a lovely spot. Close enough toget around but far enough from all the tourist traps. Breakfast was small but perfect. Plenty of food for our liking and enough energy to last until dinner without having to have much for lunch. The rooms and bathroom are small, but you are in Europe so that should not be shocking. Everything is cleaned regularly and the overall ambiance makes you feel at home:)
One down side was that wifi cut out while in room, but worked great in courtyard....truly not a big enough issue to worry about though. Beds were a bit hard for our liking, but still large/comfy enough.
Location, host, breakfast, local restaurants, access to main sights
Perfect location tucked away from hustle and bustle! Gorgeous garden for breakfast. Great views of the canal. Manager so helpful in providing a list of excellent list of restaurants and things to do and he supplies the best map of Venice! I am so glad we stayed here would not hesitate to go back / recommend this little gem.
Nice, quite place, not fare from center of great places.
Excellent location . Very welcoming . Beautiful garden and excellent value for money . Very helpful and friendly owner . Would definitely recommend
The host was really helpful and suggested some places to visit as we were only in Venice for a short time, and a wonderful local restaurant. Lovely room with view over canal and pretty garden where we ate breakfast. Felt like we saw more of the real Venice by staying here. Would definitely come back.
Very friendly welcome. I arrived late but found the keys, city map and practical information in the mailbox. The manager clearly loves his city and is keen to share his knowledge. He points you to the less "obvious" must-sees and the best non-touristic restaurants. The hotel is ideally located. Very quiet with a nice garden where breakfast is served.
The single room left to be desired: although fairly clean, it was very small, with almost no room to store your luggage.
view over the small canal, proximity to nice restaurant areas and 'vaporetto', garden where to have breakfast
amazing place, helpful staff, good value, great location
The location is in the middle between the enterence of venice and the st macro square. Only take 20 min walking from the enterence to 3749. We decide not to take waterbus (which is expense) and enjoy more on the water city. It take another 15 min walk to st marco sq. It is a good location if you plan not to take waterbus. 3749 locate at more local place in venice. In the morning you can see people go to work and student go to school if you live in a canal view room. The owner is very nice and informative local resident. He introduce some local restaurant and place for us. Breakfast is good. The owner talk with us and share his experience thou our breakfast time. This place is local, warm, and convenience.
Friendly and familiar guest house. Great Coffee and nice, very helpful host.
