Featuring a central location at the heart of the eternal city, Floris Hotel is 500 ft from Rome’s Opera Theatre. A 2-minute walk away, Repubblica Metro has direct service to the Vatican Museums.
Score from 937 reviews Wonderful
Hotel Colosseum is on a quiet street in the center of the city. The roof terrace offers unforgettable views of ancient Rome.
Score from 221 reviews Very good
The Lirico is just around the corner from Rome's Opera House and a 5-minute walk from Termini Train Station. The hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and Sky satellite TV, and continental breakfast.
Score from 364 reviews Very good
Hotel California is 170 yards from Termini Train and Metro Station, and is surrounded by restaurants and bars. It features air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen satellite TV.
Score from 1716 reviews Very good
The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Great facilities with bar fridge, air conditioning and the most amazing shower I have ever seen. Small kitchenettes are available as well
Nice clean room in a great location.
Room was cleaned daily
good airconditioning good sound insulation to the street nice shower good bed beautiful old building with charming elevator Good walkable location from Termini, lots of restaurants in the area.
sounds from next room where very present. Normal talking neighbours, zippers, shower, could all be heard clearly. Really thin wall. wifi signal was minimal at top floor.
Comfort room with lovely bathroom.
Tv reception was poor sometimes picture breaks. Reception not available 24 hrs
This hotel wasn't as fancy as the hotels we stayed at earlier in our honeymoon but we loved it just as much! It was exactly was we were looking for. Our room was clean and beautiful. It was small, but it is designed in a way that the space is used to it's maximum potential. We noticed lots of little details that were well thought out. There are lightswitches/lamps set into the wall by the bed. The luggage stand is set in by the window so it doesn't take up much room. The closet is up high but they provide a special reaching stick for the hangers. The bathroom is very modern and has a fancy touch screen shower with lights that change colour. The bathroom door had full length mirrors on both sides, which helps when you and your partner are getting ready for dinner :) Our TV had a DVD player so you can borrow DVDs from the office. After a long day of sightseeing and walking we liked to hit the supermarket to stock our fridge with snacks and cold beer/wine and watch a movie before bed. It was just what we needed! Marco took care of us for most of our stay, and his service was excellent. He always helped us with directions on the giant helpful maps they keep in the office that they give you for your stay. I would HAPPILY stay there again or recommend it to my friends.
The hotel is close to Termini station, yes. But Termini station is huge. Make sure you know which exit to go out of, and map your way to the hotel ahead of time. Otherwise it will be a longer walk with your luggage. The sign on the front of the hotel is very small and the picture they use is actually the view from the hotel (gorgeous!), but not the property itself.. So it is hard to know what to look for. -The bed is large and comfortable except for the fact that it is two mattresses pushed together and they would drift apart by morning. If the hotel coved the mattresses with some sort of thicker mattress cover, this would help keep them together and make it more comfortable to sleep near the middle of the bed.
Beautiful rooms that combine classic decoration with hi-tech comfort
Ideal position near Termini. Hotels near main railway stations are often a little run down but this wasn't. Access to coffee making facility
shower unnecessarily complicated
Very comfortable room and great bathroom. Close to metros, buses and termini, opposite the opera theatre this boutique hotel is in a central location with a wonderful restaurant next door. While breakfast is not included there are lots of options in the street.
*room layout and decor *friendless and attentiveness of staff *bed was very comfortable
*expected iron and iron board in room *fridge in room was not working *lighting on staircase was poor *visibility of hotel sign *no tea and coffee making facilities in room
We paid extra for a deluxe room which had an excellent shower. Great location for the railway and for getting to the tourist attractions. The rooms are basically apartments spilt into bedrooms with a shared area where there are coffee and tea facilities.
The photo advertised of the lit building is not the hotel, it is the opera theatre across the street.
Located close to Termini railway station and within easy walk to main tourist sites. Excellent restaurant is located next door to hotel.
Rooms are a bit on the small side but were adequate for a short stay. Hotel is not well signposted from outside, so it is not easy to find.
The hotel photo as above shows a photo of the hotel's opposite building, not the hotel appearance. The hotel appearance is actually an older building, far from the photo shown. It is very misleading to those who search information of hotel before booking. Besides, the location is not so close to station. The light of staircase is not strong enough. I feel horrible when I step at the staircase at night. And there is no bath wash and shampoo provided. No facility at washroom. I need to take the luggage myself from ground to fourth floor for lugguge keep.
clean, locaiton, warm and modern room design
wifi is very weak and slow
Good location, very handy to eateries and metro. You could walk to the Colosseum just 20 mins away.
Traffic noise early morning and evening.
The room was clean Convenient for buses and trains.
The wifi reception was terrible. There was no proper reception only a small office and was not 24hr The room and shower room were small considering you had no public space. The garden shown in the pictures is an overgrown mess, it is not a useable outdoor space.
It is walking distance to a metro and buses. Close enough to Termini too. Local area has cafés and restaurants. Room was big and bed comfortable. We are going back at the end of our trip.
Shower area Decent cleanliness
Location quite far from attractions or metro
Location of the hotel was great and so was the stuff. It's a bit older and the rooms are small, especially the bathroom and shower, but everything works fine. It's a great option if you want to be in walking distance of everything in Rome
The wi-fi is very weird. It is free, but only one person can be logged on at a time (ie. I can be logged on my phone, but my wife couldn't.) Some dust around the room and premises.
Location was good, room clean and nice decoration.
Thought courtyard could have been better for sitting outside, not a big deal though.
Staff was really nice, location is excellent, near the main metro / train station, the self-service bar out of the room was great "24 hours tea, coffee, hot water, etc.. I like it at all ..
The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The WiFi was extremely useful and provided a strong signal and connection. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and well-equipped for our needs. The location was perfect: far enough from the centre that the area wasn't noisy at night but close enough to walk to all of the main attractions.
The only negative comment I could make is that breakfast wasn't included in the price, this is a minor issue but possibly could have been considered within the price of the room as alternate arrangements had to be made by ourselves which increased costs in addition to the room price.
We arrived at the hotel late at night after a long train ride. It was really hard to find the hotel as it doesn't look like one at all. The reception guy was just awaiting for us to leave as they don't have a 24 hour reception. This proved to be a big issue when after getting to our room we found out that there was no hot water - and no one to talk to. So imagine how it's like having to take a cold shower after a long trip. Only the next day we could talk to someone about the water issue. They say it was fixed and we left to the city only to arrive late at night again and find the same problem again. So this was a big disappointment. Apart from that the rooms were small, but OK. The hotel is on a very old building with an elevator that seem to be used in some 50s/60s horror movie.
easy to find the hotel, close to Termini, easy to get to any other part of Rome, clean&cosy room, friendly&attentive staff
Everything, the hotel was great. Special thank you to Marco, (reception) and to the lovely lady that cleaned our room. Great place to stay and fantastic location.
