This place is rather close to the beach (which you have to pay for just like most beaches in Italy). If you arrive to Venice (train station), you just take the vaporetto (waterbus) to Lido, for example number 5.1, 5,2 which are the fastest (30 min) or number 1 which takes longer time (closer to 60 min), but goes trough Venice on the Grand chanel. (One tour costs 7 euro.) At Lido it takes about 10 minutes to walk to B&B 500. It's nice rooms in a silent area. The breakfast is mixed with both sweet things and toasts with cheese and ham.
Very poor breakfast.
It is a family hotel. Small but clean. Godd location away from the crowds in Venice with nice places to eat nearby. ok breakfast.
Towels could be of better quality, breakfast could include some fruit.
good breakfast! very clean! free wifi
the third floor room is nice but the roof is too short for guest.
The bed was amazingly big and comfortable! The location was good, just a five minute walk to the vaporeto and the main street with all the bars/restaurants. Also only a ten minute walk to the beach. It was in a quiet spot too. The room was cleaned for us every day to a good standard. It is true that the breakfast was basic, but we were not expecting a full buffet or anything like that, so we were happy with it. I loved the marmalade which was really sweet :) The garden was nice and a good spot for some chill out time before going out in the evening. The room had air-conditioning which was very much needed at night.
We did really miss having some kind of refreshments available, or we would have been happy with having a fridge available so we could have stored our own drinks.
+ small cosy beatiful house and room + big and convenient bathroom + not far from vaporetto station, appr. 10min + nice garden + about 5-6 rooms in a hotel + made us earlier check in than the booked time
Budget friendly, large bed, comfortable duvets.
no English, no bath just a shower, no fan as written in the description, poor heating, poor breakfast, poor insulation against noise. Not very romantic.
very comfortable. not on the main land, it's quiet and convenient for traffic. room is very nice, even nicer than the pictrue.
the best place ever!~
Very nice place, with a charming owner. Very Good quality / price report. The room was very nice and the bed very confortable.
The room was clean
Very poor service, to the point we were chased down the street for tourist tax that we had already paid. I cannot recommend this place to stay, book somewhere else.
The lady was really kind and the breakfast was always on time. We booked a double room, but we got a really big room for 3 people with a beautiful terrace and no additional charges. Also the location is great. We found the hotel really easy ( we used a map) . In general the distance between Lido and San Marco is only 3 stops with the waterbus (approximately 20 min)
From time to time( probably when a lot of guests take a shower) we had to wait until the water get worm.
The place is quiet on Lido island, and the boss is really nice. I am satisfied with the free breakfast.
We have to pay 5 euros for Wi-Fi connection and some rooms have problems with the heating equipment.
Cleanliness, staff was friendly, breakfast was decent
B&B was really cold, no hair-dryer
The Landlady was really kind with us, when we said we dont need breakfast for the next morning coz we leave earlier, they left for us some muffins and packed croissant for the journey and we got some tea as well for the night. We loved the way walk to the Vaporetto station from the property. Easy access, clean and comfortable. Thanks.
Wooden floors, spacious rooms, spotlessly clean.
Would have liked fresh bread and fruit at breakfast.
The location. The area being a little away from Venice proper was very calm and quiet, at the same time easily accessible. The room was well appointed and comfortable.
In the first instance, this is not a hotel but a BnB. There is only one Lady managing the place. Her English communication skills were rather bad. She was also somewhat inflexible to guest needs. The kitchen and its facilities like the refregirator was off limits. People going here should be clear that it is not a hotel.
After a busy day of crowded sightseeing in Venice, it was wonderful to retreat to a quiet, nicely-appointed, comfortable room in a community where families actually live. We enjoyed strolling the streets at night sampling the local restaurants. The dock for the Vaporettos is an easy walking distance, and the ride into Venice is convenient- only four stops from St. Mark's. We would definitely return on future trips.
This is not a typical hotel...it is a pension, which means that it is a home that was turned into a guesthouse, and there are no "facilities" to speak of, just a room with a bed and private bathroom.
The location was very far off of the typical tourist trail, and you must take a land taxi to and from the vaporetto on The Lido once you land, therefore adding unnecessary cost to your trip; the place is in a thoroughly residential neighborhood, with no restaurants, bars or any other diversion nearby; once there, you are "stuck", unless you want to call another taxi. Find a hotel closer to Venice proper, unless you have a car.
though this hostel is not in the center of Venice but on Lido island, we liked it even better. Close to the beach and 30 min on vaporetto to the center. We had a spacious room and an extrabig king size bed.
