Just about everything - a great place to stay!
For a business person, would be good if I could get breakfast before 8am. But a very minor consideration.
Fantastic place, very arty. great rooms. free access to kitchen, lovely rooms, free bikes. Perfect for visiting the mosaics of Ravenna. Our second visit - would use each time.
The personal touches of artwork and books in the common areas made us feel right at home and we were amazed to be offered free drinks! A lot of work was put into beautifully renovating this ancient building
The wifi was erratic at times and the walls not very soundproof.
We enjoyed the location which is walking distance from several sites and the cozy city centre. The young man who was our host was pleasant and quick to respond to our needs but otherwise not very present. We liked the nearby car garage for parking.
The room and the breakfast were rather "basic" for the price.
facility and decoration are both very nice! Location also very good!
wifi doesn't work very well.
Location Room style
No serious complains. Internet not stable though.
Location, pretty historic building, high ceilings, interior decoration, very friendly hosts
It would be great to have eggs for breakfast
Location and comfort
Too many steps to climb
Nothing everithing was O.K.
Loved the decor and total layout of the facility. As you wandered from floor to floor you kept being surprised by beautiful and intriguing furnishing. Generous spirit by the owner with complimentary wine, aperitifs, juices, water, etc., etc. Bikes were in very good shape - easy to ride and comfortable. This has been the best place we have ever experienced. Highly recommend it.
The hotel was like a museum filled with art and various artifacts from all over the world - China, Africa etc. The alcoholic and soft drinks at the common areas were free to pick. The hotel is well located in the centre of Ravenna Close to the marvellous historic sites from the time when Ravenna was the capital of West Rome.
The WiFi didnt work except for a few minutes now and then.
Superb house, beautifully decorated. Small terrace for a quiiet drink before going out, or for breakfast. Complimentary bottle of sparking wine on arrival. Super continental breakfast spread. Access to real coffee machine and cold water 24/7. Air con in rooms - we needed it! Great location, everything in the town within walking distance. Like staying in a good friend's house. Staff and Paola really friendly. Great mix of nationalities, including many Italians.
On arrival by car, you need to find a parking space outside to unpack. This is pay and display. Although not far away, finding the garage to leave the car at was tricky as the very lovely housekeeper who met us didn't speak English and we had very poor Italian! Would be useful to have a small directional map with explanations in several languages. Also an explanation that you have to leave the car keys with the garage attendant, so ensure all valuables are unpacked before you take the car to the garage.
Just up the street from the covered market, this was in a great location and a lovely place to stay. It had real character and the staff were very helpful. The free bike use is also a very nice touch.
Interesting place - frescoes on the ceilings, rooms clearly intended for more grand purposes, intriguing antiques. The hostess was welcoming in spite of having a minimal command of English (between her little bit of English, our little bit of Italian, and much good will we did fine).
Nothing - gracious hostess, gracious owner, lovely place. Breakfast was a little Continental for Americans, but absolutely enormous for Italian breakfast, with great cappuccino, fruit juices, yogurt, cereals, and a huge selection of pastries.
The charm of the eclectic collection in the "casa" .And the romantic courtyard.
Not enough fresh produce at breakfast. No fruit and no fresh bread, only dolcis, no savouries.
Interesting old house full of artifacts and books, lovely bedroom and bathroom, courtyard garden and roof top terrace, help yourself to drinks, good breakfast, very friendly staff.
A very enjoyable experience. Parking is available off-site for 10 euros/night at a secure garage less than 2 minutes walk away.
Very nice location. very nice staff. Lovely breakfast.
A Casa di Paola was a real find for us and we enjoyed the unique character of this accommodation with the most extraordinary art and library in the rooms and throughout the villa. The host is a real gem and was so helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. we were so impressed by the lovely attention to detail in our room and throughout. breakfast was delicious and access to facilities was generous and open. thank you for a wonderful time in Ravenna.
We loved everything
Lovely homely rooms. Much more attractive than an anonymous hotel.
