It was close to termini, metro station nearby. I had a quadruple room and the two queen beds were nice.

The bathroom needs to be fixed. New shower curtains. Staff wasn't very friendly.

location, it is very close to Termini station.

And they call it "breakfast"?! For "breakfast" we got a coupon for the near cafe, and they "served" little cookie with one coffee, they were also supposed to have a juice, but they never had it. Well, all in all, the room was poorly renovated, dirty, too small and the whole bathroom was covered with a mould!

    Good Staff.

Not easy to find by address. Noisy with metal gates closing all the time.

This room was nothing like I had expected from the reviews and pictures but on the other hand the staff was very nice, the room was clean and I felt secure. The location was near the the terminex and the bus tour which was convenient.

    Only the location

With luggages upon arrival, there was a lift which we could not use to get to the 2nd floor reception. We have to pay the 3 nights stay in cash because their credit card machine was down. We returned to the place later in the evening and disappointed with the room. The room size that I anticipated differs very much from the photos we looked on the Booking.com as there were 3 of us. The extra bed provided was not even a proper bed shown on the website but more like a mattress taken from a foldable sofa. There were no proper table inside the room too. The toilet showering area was very small. We had a really difficult time turning on and off the showering water tap as it was not working well. The warm water did not function well and therefore one of us accidentally thought it was for the warm water and pulled the emergency string which was right inside the shower. It triggered the alarm outside which made one of the staffs came into our room and said that we should have common sense to know that the string is for emergency. Yes, we had made a mistake but it was not pleasant to hear that we have no common sense said by the staff. We were very unhappy about it. To add on to the unpleasant experience, the room was not sound-proofed and you can hear people talking outside the room in the middle of the night which can be unbearable. In the next morning, breakfast was provided from a cafe 5 mins walk away. There were very limited choices of pastries and coffee to choose from. Each person can only choose 1 pastry and 1 coffee which turned out that the coffee was cold. The cafe staffs were not friendly to help us finding seats in the cafe as they were more inti serving paying customers. In the end, it left us no choice to leave after just a one night stay.

The manager was very friendly to us and our 1 year old son.

Not possible to have a look outside because of old blinds. But the manager told us to fix it with new windows, soon.

Basic room with all you need if you spend the whole day in the city and only want to sleep, centrally located.

Confusing to get in at first (fenced), noisy appartment, material used (shower, etc.) is not the highest quality.

very close to the train station.

a little hard to find. we did not get any clean towels during our 4 days stay. I would suggest putting a chair and table in the rooms as well as some drinking glasses.

Location, pretty close to termini station. Value for money I guess. Free Wifi

OK, this one isnt a hotel, is more like a hostal, you get a room with private bathroom and free wifi, first there is no reception, they give you a buch of keys from your room dor, the principal door and the gate, so you dont know how to ask something if you need help , they have a paper on the wall and they say if you need something call us. Breakfast was is a little coffee shop like 4 cornes away, and it was really bad a Brioche an a coffee, they opened really late, one day we had to skip it because it was 7:30 am and was close. Location its a good point because is really close to termini, we had a very early flight and shuftle from termini at the airoport was cool 4 euros from 4:40am. Anyway I guess we had what we paid for. If you can pay a little more dont stay here

Great location on a quiet street near the train station and many restaurants. Nice bathroom and shower, and good wifi.

The neighborhood had a few undesirables nearer to the station, but the building was secured by a locked gate and door. Very sparse room with a very low bed (but comfy) and no where else to sit.

We chose Casa Di Penelope for its location and price. I booked it about 7 months in advance and it was cheaper than within the 2-month period of our arrival. It was about an easy 4-block walk from the Termini. This means it is also close to all the busses. The room was pretty good size for 3 twin beds and the bath was large for Italian standards. The managers were friendly and spoke pretty good English. They were helpful with our sightseeing questions, too. The breakfast location (ticket for a small breakfast was incl) was around the corner and it was a nice place in which one could also order omelets and other additions. Our room was clean and bright, but caution ... we were told upon checking in that if we lost our key, there would be a 50Euro fee. So, we left our keys at the desk daily. However, one day we left the key in the lock on the inside of the room and mistakenly shut the door to leave for the day. Well, the managers said that because the key was still in the door on the "inside", their master key wouldn't work. So 50E later, we had our key back. Wish they could have used a ladder and gone in through our window LOL The elevator was small, but it worked well. We would definitely stay at the Penelope again when in Rome. Quiet and very close to all transportation.

paying for our key that we locked inside the room, but it is .... what it is. :) This hotel is a good value for the money.

Location near the train station. Very clean newly renovated rooms.

Did not like paying by cash. This forces traveler to carry larger sums of cash which is not the safest way to travel.

Location. Clean Room. Enough space. Nice staff.

WiFi is unconnectable on the 5th floor, only can be used on the 2nd floor (near the reception). Kitchen cannot be used unless being asked for before living in.

I liked the location for trains and airport buses.

I did not like paying for four adult beds in a room that at best was for three as stated on the tariff sheet on the door. No room to even walk on the floor in the room or to spread cases. One made up bed was simply cushions on the floor. Crawling with ants in the morning. Denied by staff. Hostile night porter refused to give keys to room sending us out to get money from dangerous station auto-bank point. Unpleasant and overcharged stay. Disappointing end to an otherwise good time in Rome.
