clean and comfortable so close tu the biennale venezia
close to the la biennale
Nice staff and good Location.
Lovely owners. Probably one of the best price-quality ratio in Venice. Good location for sight seeing.
Small bathroom with a sitting bath (instead of a comfortable shower cabin)
+ very close to La Biennale + supermarket nearby
- Bathroom and bedroom are seperated. bedroom is on the first floor and WC is downstairs and is shared with your neighbors. So if you want to go to the bathroom, you need to put some clothes on and walk down, which is not very convenient. - there is always a strange smell, don't know where it is coming from. - breakfast needs extra money. - no tv in the bedroom but one in the living room. Again you need to share it with your neighbors. - Wi-Fi not stable if many people are active, especially in the evening.
1. Location. It's not in the very centre, and it's NICE. Because close to San Marco there are enormous crowd (!!) and expensive cafes. Venice is a small city. Everything is in a walking distance. So, staying in this hotel you can be at San Marco in 10 min., but still you will see the real Venice with locals and at Garibaldi str. there are plenty of nice and not expensive restaurants. 2. Nice lady from hotel allowed us to check-in early, at 10 am instead of 15;) 3. VERY IMPORTANT (!!) to follow the hotel's instructions how to get the Casa mia. Seriously, hotel's stuff sent the map to all of clients, and it's a priceless info, because Googlemaps and Tripadvisor don't know the real Venice. We printed the hotel's map at home and found it with no problem (and we are two girls who usually can be lost even in our home city)) 4. free towels))) and a lot of hotels in Venice don't provide you with towels (that also was a surprise)
Nothing. You just should know what to expect. All hotels in Venice have tiny rooms. Most of them offer you only a shared bathroom, that's a specific of city architecture.
The place was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all the elements needed. The personel solved all our dubts from the city and was kind and nice. We would repleat if we go again to the beautiful city of Venice.
The only inconvenient was the shower. Was a bit tiny and dangerous.
The location is nice, convenient to sites and restaurants.
Our stay at A casa mia was a disaster. The host knock on our door at late night when my Mom had already gone to bed, and shout in my face about the wetness of the shower room (seriously?!, its a shower room!) To be honest, the sink of the bathtub was completely block, it was like taking a shower in a flood. Besides, the shower curtain wasn't waterproof. It was really not fair for the host to blame the guest first rather than examining themselves. Anyway, my sister, Mom, and I did not receive the respects at all. Would not recommend to anyone who's looking for a warm welcome and some place that worth the price.
Location was excellent, Silvia and Piero were very helpful. Room was clean and large enough. Plenty of restaurants in the area and was very close to water taxi.
Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Fully kitchen facilities, Good staffs, Excellent facilitators.
Quite far from main station but can take water bus around 20-30 min. Prepayment 30% of hotel cost.
This is a nice and comfortable apartment.
Room is not very big, but it is understandable that most of places in Venice are not big. It is bit far from the airport, strongly recommend that the travelers should make a route research to the airport.
Staff was helpful, decent location
Wifi didn't really work, shower was either scalding or freezing, was kind of expensive for what you get
Really liked the location in Arsenale. It is walking distance to San Marco and in a quiet neighborhood of mostly locals and has good food/restaurant availability, including a coop grocery. Easy to get to from airport by water service (Alilaguna). WIFI was great. A couple of good single beds worked well for my sister and I.
Took a while to figure out how to connect with owners, but once I realized all it took was ringing the outdoor bell, it was fine. Had to light the gas stove from the right side of the burner, then that worked fine. A couple of learning curves that´s all. Would have liked an extra towel and bath/shower mat.
Really great location, quiet residential street yet only short walk from St Mark's Square. Lovely spacious property - larger than expected for the price paid and with everything you might need provided. Hope to return to Venice soon as one night not long enough and would definitely stay here again.
WiFi very patchy _ but hadn't been expecting WiFi so really anything was a bonus!!
Lovely owners Good shower It's a good price for summer in Venice, 15 min walk to St Marks, 5 mins to water bus station Cafés nearby Not too touristy Good air con
Room is quite small Ground floor with window opening directly into the alley outside (not a lot of foot traffic but can be loud if you're a light sleeper) It suited us as we were out for most of the day. Not recommended for those who want fully self serviced.
Apartment B & B Casa Mia in Venice we loved. Cozy, clean, perfect location a 15-minute walk from the main attractions (Piazza San Marco) and a 5-minute walk from the vaporetto station. Near a beautiful street with shops, food market and a couple of cafes and a park with a monument to Garibaldi. Very hospitable hosts - Silvia and Piero, contact us in advance, clarified our preferences, provide a place to store luggage on departure day after between calculated hour, because we were leaving in the evening, and the keys are handed over in 11 hours. If more zahitim visit Venice, would definitely stay again in this apartment.
Little sits bath, it was slippery. But it's the little things that do not spoil the overall good experience.
location is nice but a bit far from the san marco plazza
no breakfast no wifi working the flat rented could have been used for 6 but the add only states 4 person so I did had to book a second room
Clean, reasonable location, though photo is misleading.
Noisy, uncomfortable bed, rough bedding and towels.
Location was good and room and bathroom were clean.
The directions to the property were not clear, so it was very difficult finding the place, especially with luggage. The room was very very smally and did not have enough space for our luggage... we had to leave our luggage on the ground floor which was very inconvenient. The AC had an unpleasent smell which the manager just brushed of as ' this is Venice'. Wifi did not work. Will not stay here again.
- the bathroom is really clean - the host was nice
- the location isn't too bad considering it's in walking distance to Piazza San Macro. Takes around 35 min by water bus from the train station
The location is wonderful. It is in a peaceful neighborhood that is very safe. We watched a world cup match at a sidewalk cafe until after midnight with our 10 year old son. We felt welcome and safe and had a very special time. Then we had a 3 minute walk to our apartment. I will remember that for a long time, and so will my son. The owners are fantastic. I made a dumb mistake with my booking arrangements which caused the owners to scramble to accommodate incoming guests because we had not left the apartment on time. The owners were gracious and very helpful. When it was all over, we laughed about my mistake, which helped relieve some of my intense embarrassment. Just wonderful...
No wifi in the aparment, and we were never able to get the "free" wifi to work on the streets. So, we went to cafes and got coffee to use their wifi (which was just fine with us!)
The guy who runs the place is nice and cheerful. The position of the hotel is not bad, but hard to find. The beds are comfortable, shared bathrooms are clean. Wifi connectivity is good.
The hotel does not offer anything besides wifi and bed. They didnt even offered breakfast. They don't sell anything, but do help you with getting water.
Silvia is a caring and welcoming host. The place is easy to find with the instructions provided, and the location is perfect: close to most interesting parts, but not in the labirynth of the timy streets you will never find an easy way to, and not in the epicenter of tourist life.
There were no wifi connection in our apartment, and even the one in the B&B itself did't work for me.
We had a room in a small apartment so it was good to have access to a kitchen. We were in close walking distance to Santa Marco's square. Very convenient and quiet location.
If I could do it again I would find a bigger room with a large bed (we opted for twins) on a small canal. Otherwise no complaints.
The clerk was very friendly and helpful, she did everything to make our stay as convenient as possible.
We had a very unfriendly welcome, because we were charged a 50,- € fine because of being late. We arrived on a friday at 9 45 pm and called before. This is not service oriented from our point of view. In many other places in the world no owner would dare this...
